I had actually used those game apps or whatever the fuck maybe twice, before abandoning it. I check my facebook occasionally, like once every week.

There's this awesome Greasemonkey plugin called Facebook Purity that blocks stuff from your feed.

And every time you get a friend invite, block both the application, and block all invitations from that friend.

I don't know why you have to block it every month or so, but once I say "block this and that", it stays blocked and won't pop back up again.
