Hello,
first - excuse my poor english in case i do some writing the wrong way.

Second I'm wannabe n64 hacker, and my skill with numbers math and stuff is pretty bad, but with help of the other 3 we managed to do this goofy demo to help OlllO
make a point about perfect dark ,for the forum about the xbla version in the microsoft forums.
if you want ot see here is the HD link for it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEue1pJhyRs&hd=1

OK then-
The help we need is for somebody to please make an editor for the wrestling game
wrestlemania 2000

we made about 200+ created characters from lucha libre, movies, religion, comics, pop music, other games ,etc.for this game and it is a shame that none cannot be made the default characters.

if they where default, the single player mode would be very hard to beat, and very crazy, and royal rumble mode would be a blast.

created characters have more moves and combos than the default characters of the game.

what we want to be able to do is just to edit moves and attributes of the default characters, get the chance to make a rom patch out of that, and patch the rom with the modifications.

or better, have all characters in the ROm behave like the create-a-wrestler types
(default characters are brown, greys are completely editable)

later on maybe even expand the rom to hold more than 80 characters.

so any of you who has the skill, please post reply

if the person who made the mario editor is reading this, please tell if it is possible.

It's probably not. Does that help?

I don't see why it wouldn't be....? He basically wants to make the custom characters in to the ones on the built-in roster, so clearly all the data to do that is in the game already. It's just a matter of telling the game what parts to use and what movesets/stats to apply. It wouldn't be EASY by any stretch but when all the stuff is already THERE, I'd say its far from impossible...

^^^
Thanks- maybe i do not make sense

by obseving what can be done with the goldeneye editor and the mario editor, i think making an editor to just change the moves is not so hard.
of course i can not do it currently because i never studied programs and math is bad to me.
i dont want to tinker with objects or the ring or anything, just attributes, maybe hidden attributes that control the ai 9you can see those with gameshar code) and the movesets.

there is a "mod" of wwf no mercy i can't find that is called "tna vs roh"
that was made by replacing moves through gameshark codes and a gameshark code generator just for that game.
the problem is that replacing the the moves of an in game character that way messes up the gameplay some.
i think it only applies to the current character you are using and nnot when the character is controlled by the machine.

so if you are in a royal rumble match, when michael jackson comes out, it is not the michael jackson you tried to modify , but the just an MJ shell with "the rock" moves.

by patching the game the MJ the machine or you or all 4 players use is the "real deal" with his dancing taunts, flying moves , 4 finishers, etc etc.

I understand what you're trying to do, but what you're asking would require you to understand how the game code works. Sure it would be possible, but every N64 game is different, so you would need to start from scratch with this.

Well, my hope is that someone tries to do it.
The only help i can offer is with testing the thing.

Please if any of you in this forum knows of a place where they tried or care about those games let me know.

i find that is weird those games did not get hacking beyond gameshak codes,
they are good multiplayer games and they do not depend on the analogue joystick being a 100%
like goldeneye, mario kart or perfect dark.

then again as of now i do not know of ROM editors for smash bros. for the n64.

Most of the hacking efforts for the AKI wrestling games have been focused on WWF No Mercy. If you can find a way into the No Mercy Zone, that's where the main hacking takes place.

Not too many efforts have focused on ROM hacks yet, but hopefully they will in the future.

I suggest visiting both WldFb's archive and AJ's VPW Junk for more information, though to be honest, neither of us have been focusing on WM2K.

^^
thanks!

i recently discovered the vpw "junk" site in this last few days.
NO mercy zone i did not check in while , its been about 7 times that we have tried to become members, and i thought the sites looked dead.
i guess will keep trying.
My issue with no mercy is that quick matches are not possible, and the lag, but other than that overall it is superior game, the only reason we did not make characters for it its because the blasted bug it has

AJ 187, since we have as of now no way of telling them at the no mercy zone, in case no one has , please tell them about possible making an editor to patch the game.

Yea, we're not doing your hack for you. You go to ROM Hackers School and learn up. Romhacks.net might be able to get you started with some simple hacking stuff before you try tackling something like the N64.
