I got iced out of work.

Iced as in six people showed up because there was that much of an ice problem.

9t is going through the same thing right now except he's in a motel.

Mostly here it's been ridiculously cold and windy lately.

Back in 2003, we had a ice storm in April. It was beautiful with the ice on the trees and such, but very slick. We actually had 2 days of school cancelled in April

I waited 15 minutes outside for a bus today in about -15°C (it's even worse if you consider the wind chill) while wearing a spring jacket and shorts. My philosophy is that if I don't let the cold bother me then it doesn't, you just have to make your mind think about something else

Nice, dude. I'm the opposite in some ways - I don't like long sleeves, but I always wear jeans. Although -15°C is a bit nuts.

The Pacific Northwest is considerably more mild, though.
