The Yoshi from panel 4 is a custom sprite... looks Kirby Advance style to me (Woulda said M&L style but there's no anti aliasing on the outside of the sprite.)

@Bob-omb: Yeah, that is a custom sprite of mine. I made it in Kirby Advance style for a failed Kirby fangame, at the request of the maker. (He wanted to include a cameo.) You can see the entire sheet here. I made a couple of .gifs with them as well.



Anyway, I made the next strip.

Hey, how can the dark particles get into the forcefield when Kirby's inhaling them? Shouldn't they just kind of bounce back on the outside when the air is sucking them in?

Actually, I think that specific statue shows up in the regular SNES version as well...can't be 100% sure though. (Even if it does, Ultra has the statue flex when going down a slope)

As for the spikes...what-a-we looking at here, YI-style instant death or Paper Mario return-to-start-ism? (Or something unmentioned, of course)

I was worried it wouldn't show up in ultra. The sprite is from the SNES, it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

The spikes are most likely insta-death, as if I recall well shyguys couldn't walk, or at least be thrown at them.

The only way I see them going through is nuking them or using the third dimension.

Yep. In the absurdly high number of times I've completed KSS, I've only seen it 3 or 4 times.
Also, for your convenience, here's KSS's statue compared to KSSU's. (Notice the swap that occurred between the two sprites in KSS once they made it to KSSU.)

Anyway, Peardian, keep up the good work, as usual. I await the next time everybody meets up again so we don't have to go switching between places all of the time.
