We had around 100 people at our midnight launch. Got home with my copy and.... played Mass Effect 1 because I still have to beat my playthrough! Hit level 60 and I'm about to go to Ilos...

The mission is up, the character isn't yet.

So, I finished ME1 and hit 60 about an hour ago. Pop in ME2, download the extra goodies, import my character, watch/play the very beginning intro, and on the loading screen after that... frozen.

OK, so I hard reboot, install the game to the hard drive, start a new game (nothing was saved), import my character again, play through the intro, annnnd frozen in the same spot.

Goddamnit.

Edit: Clearing my system cache fixed it. I played for about an hour and the game looks really good so far, but I'm just beginning.

	Wow, the sequences in ME 2 are so breakable... * On omega, you can "talk" to Aria before you get close enough to trigger the cutscene, causing the sequence to never go forward, forcing you to restart * On the Quarian Flotilla, you can talk to the female admiral just before the plaza before you walk close enough to her to trigger the first trial part. The game reacts as if you were a renegade the entire time and didn't use the mouse event. * When tracking Thane's son, if you walk into where you meet the stock boy before Thane asks you for the last update before you have to go in, Thane can easily contact you in the middle of the cutscene, causing the stock boy to magically disappear and the cutscene to just hang, Shepard looking around almost confusedly ____________________ <@Bitmap> Be completely humble and gentle; <@Bitmap> And tell them to shut the fuck up

So it turns out that the specs posted on the Steam Release page were 'recommended' specs.

My computer can play it if just barely. New game is new (and very cool).

Just beat it yesterday. The scanning for minerals got tedious, but I did it while dozing in and out of sleep a lot and that seemed to work out just fine.

I just started a brand new ME1 file to play through and take into ME2 to see how different things are.
