I'm convinced that time follows some kind of exponential curve.

When I was younger, time seemed to take forever. I thought I would be in Kindergarten forever, then first grade forever, and so on. Even just 1 school day felt like an eternity of prison, with the term lengthening on days in which I had homework or had to stay after school.

Now, it feels like 2005 was last week sometimes. It feels like I just turned 22 yesterday, and that was way back in July. Now, I'm more than halfway toward being 23 from there.

On a related subject, I keep writing "2009" on forms.

I think that time started moving noticeably faster when I was 18. I woke up one morning and HOLY FUCK the minutes were ticking away very quickly. I was rather sad at it, with so much of my perceived flow of time being during my restricted childhood.

It's even noticeable right now. Time flies when i don't have school or anything, but during a school day I pretty much stare at the clock. :/

Time seemed to go slow for me until I reached the age of 17.

Time is going pretty slow for me. I moved to where I am only a year ago, but it felt like it's been 2 years. I don't have work or school or anything even.. Hmm. Boredom probably makes time slow...

To be a little more on-topic than my last post: My perception of time tends to fluctuate depending on the year. 2007 and 2009 (2009 especially) felt like short years, but 2008 felt like a really long year... I've noticed that the more I enjoy myself during a year, the longer it tends to take to end. You figure it'd be just the opposite, what with the saying "time flies when you're having fun", etc, but it's not. Not for me, anyway. I hope 2010 is a long year with that in mind. D:

My perception of time overall has remained mostly the same since I turned 11 or so, I reckon.

Time flies when your daily routines are based week-by-week instead of day-by-day.

I noticed time speeding up a bit when I went to 2 schools during high school and would kinda zone out during the 15-mile bus ride in between. I didn't notice it much then or mind much as I really wanted to get out of high school.

Maybe patience has to do with it too. As you wait, you become more patient to deal with it, and then time seems faster because you've trained yourself to think that waiting 45 minutes is nothing when at one time 5 minutes was an eternity. Or is that the other way around?

God, I wish this would happen for me. So that two hours wouldn't pass in (seemingly) 15 minutes when I'm having fun at a friend's house. I hate that.

I think it has to with the fact that when you get older you have lived for so much longer time that overall 1 X (year, month, day, whatever) does not feel as long as it did before.
