I did eat it. Mainly because my XBOX360 controller risked microwaving (which I fell on my ass trying to get it) and I wasn't taking chances.

My parents tend to ignore expiration dates on everything. I think they have hand lotion in their bathroom that expired in 2005.

Me, I tend to rigorously adhere to the dates out of fear. Sure, maybe it'll just taste/act funny, but why take the chance?
