In about:config, set the following:

browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo - 0
browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo - 0

That should take care of it to my knowledge...for whatever reason if you set those two variables, the rest of the sessionstore is pretty much moot for changing the 1s to 0s.

I got it too, but that's because it doesn't necessarily deal with furries.

Will take some time getting used to, but they speed improvements are nice, and so is the plugin updater.

Opera had that back in 2006 fyi

Oh ok, Chrome was the only browser that I knew that did that, I'm not fond of it though, managed to make it behave as it used to with a About:Config tweak.

Dialga: Weird, from my experience 3.5 and 3.6 has been more stable than 3.0... But it's far from perfect yet.

You haven't experienced buggy until you've played with 3.1 x64 test builds.

Crashes every couple moments, plugins don't work right, refuses to install normally, has alzheimers, and regularly fills up all the memory, then crashes.

I switched to Firefox 3.6, and I find it impressive compared to 3.5. However, I don't like the way tabs open right next to the parent tab, and prefer them opening at the rightmost tab, like in older Firefoxes.

I don't notice any memory issues or anything with FF3.6, but I haven't used it enough to tell.

Man, I should really upgrade or switch browsers.

3.5 just peaked at a little above 1000mb of memory.

Hell, just writing is laggy is hell.

You can change that behavior back. Enter "about:config" in the URL bar, click "I'll be careful" to get past the warning box, search for "browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent" (use the filter box), and double-click the value so that it's set to "false".

I've talked to a few people and they've got range from anywhere between 500MB - 1400MB for Firefox...

...with two tabs open.

I've had to put Opera on here ever since 3.5.x but even Opera has its share of problems.

Firefox likes randomly locking up...
It mostly happens at Jul when scrolling in some places...

Well so far the only two things I've noticed about 3.6 are that the mouse gestures extension is temporarily broken and the red spell check line is more wiggly. That's pretty cool I guess.

Haven't checked out personas at all, nor do I really care to.

This browser feels like a joke to me. I find it amusing that my computer can handle smooth Wii emulation, yet Firefox is still extremely sluggish.

I mean, seriously - isn't it supposed to be faster than everything else or something? I ran Peacekeeper on it and Opera and got these results.

There's a reason why I prefer to call it Firederp

No, it is not supposed to be faster than anything else at all, Treeki. Have you used the browser in the last year?

They have been struggling to convert a more mundane browser that only has occasional flash and AJAX work into one of these multimedia abominations everyone thinks they need these days. It, therefore, cannot be expected to be the fastest, saving its abilities for versatility rather than raw speed.

Firefox's original focus was just un-breaking the web so that other browsers could live in the first place--before it began to chisel into IE's dominance, making a new browser required mimicking IE in one way or another, which stifled attempts to make browsers which conform to specifications or have any sensibility to their programming.

It has succeeded at that, thus causing entirely new browsers programmed to take use of this much less messed up web at far higher speeds doing all kinds of wacky things nobody imagined doing back when Firefox first appeared.

Thus, they're still working on converting it over, although I have little enthusiasm for such--the web is not a giant video warehouse or a video game.

Maybe I should upgrade to 3.6 since I have 3.5.7 running right now. I just looked at how much memory it was using for 5 tabs open and it said 229,000K -- man that's a lot of usage.

Oops, guess Opera can't handle complex graphics or data as well as Firefox can.

It doesn't fix that problem, unfortunately, but it is faster than 3.5, and apparently, not much slower than Opera (and faster than Opera in some ways).
