I'd say that was a good year. If it wasn't 7 years before I was even conceived.

That was 3 years before I was born.

I read the book in 12th grade for a book report. It was rather scary.

I should be reading that book for a book report right fucking now.

The problem is that I hate reading unless it's something I care for or find interesting. :/
Plus, I have to read in swedish (for swedish class) and well, let's just say I prefer english in terms of everything.

It was four years before I was born. Not caring.

Yet it's just as relevant now as it was then.

You can probably find 1984 in audiobook. I find these a lot easier to digest for books that are definitely worth my time, but I probably will never get around to reading. I used to read all the time, but anymore if I do anything, it has to be something I can multi-task. Reading isn't exactly an easy thing to multi-task with, so I got out of the habit. Audiobooks are awesome since you can listen to them anywhere while doing anything. I like to listen to them while I drive. Once you make it routine like that, you'll be amazed how quickly you can finish and comprehend a complex classic.

Plus, it makes some literature easier to understand since much of it uses such high language. Its great for stuff like Shakespeare where if I were to read it, I would have absolutely no idea what anyone was saying or who was saying what. But, if I hear it played out (which by the way, is the way it was originally intended to be heard,) then things naturally make a lot more sense. It's like watching Telemundo or some other international channel. Everything is in a completely foreign language, but the audio still gives you enough to go by to understand what's going on.

That's the year I started to play video games. Or at least the earliest that I can remember.

Was six years before I was born.

I still laugh at the "1984 was NOT an instruction manual!" wallpaper I have, but never used
