So I decided to put together a layout. If you can't tell, its inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics... I'll probably do some minor additions and edits later, like making the text all one image, adding hp and mana bars, more gear info, etc.

Whatcha think?

I'm working on it... all I did was try to change the font size (was 10, made it 12) and then that happened.

Ok, I had to add another table. It was a width/height=100% causing it to go past the post boundaries.

suggestions:

1. consider using a background color that matches your background image so that your post isn't unreadable until it loads

2. consider putting the text into one image instead of several smaller ones

3. the signature picture isn't too big, it's smaller than most people's layouts as it is

other than that it's pretty good, heh

Updated a few things. Added bg color like you suggested. I will put the text images into one when I get home. Don't have photo editing software here to do it. I put the sig image on the side so post height is smaller with less text.

I'd say that looks pretty good to me. Easy to read, consistent theming, and it's not textheaderposttexttextfooter either

The only thing I can point to now is the couple-pixel-big border around the outer table, where there's no post background.

Fixed. I forgot to put cellpadding=0 in the first table for the BG. I'll wait to continue posting until I get the other images merged so it doesn't have to load so many individual ones.

Definitely play War of the Lions if you can get it. All the added stuff is great, can you say Ramza as a Dark Knight? hello! You might be able to find a PSP emulator. I haven't looked into it for a long time but I'm sure they're out there. But when I actually had a PSP, FFT on the go was awesome!
