Mostly because of the way the pieces are dealt. I guess I'm too used to the grab bag way.

I don't get motion sick though, my biggest problem is I lose my sense of pinpointing where the pieces are, such that I'll often drop my pieces and they'll be one space too far over from where I wanted them to go.

It tends to give me 5 Z blocks in a row. And no L blocks. And many I blocks when they are useless except for actually making everything harder... The piece randomizer is broken.

Also there's too little time before the piece getting locked.

The point is that it gives you a chance to prepare for the next piece and/or reorient the screen, since there's no penalty for rotating them.

I usually took two or more of them as a blessing in that the room would stop spinning for a bit.

I did a bit better this time, with 20 lines and 2424 points. I am not used to controlling video games with a keyboard, which gives me more of a disadvantage than keyboard-savvy players because I'm so used to the gamepad. Plus the controls just confuse me with the rotations; I ended up sending an "I" block the wrong way which caused me to eventually lose.
