Konqueror, fastest browser I've used (yes that includes Opera ), and supports pretty much everything needed to render the web, has a nice assortment of features. Only downside is that it requires massive amounts of RAM (like 40MB ) as it uses kdelibs (fixed in KDE 4 I hear).

Which brings me to wonder, why is Safari listed but not the browser it's based on (Konqi)?

Ah, can you take a message for me then? I'm too busy browsing the internet to bother with one test it doesn't pass correctly.

No. If you are going to use standards as an excuse, you should be prepared to realize that it does not have the best standards support.

There's a reason for that. Have you ever even tried another browser?

Yet the Acid2 Test is passed in versions 3.0 and greater of Firefox. Hehe.

Also, about Konqueror... I just forgot the name?

Yeah, good call there. I know it doesn't adhere 100% to standards, but it's enough to not butcher 99% of the sites online. And that's enough for me.

Well, the problem is that it butchers a lot of sites that are designed for IE (granted, Opera does too, but not to the point that they're unusable. I'm looking at you here, Helmeted Rodent ).

I use Firefox for the sole reason that I found it before Opera and I'm too lazy to move all my favorites/settings/etc to Opera. I do have both installed and use Opera from time to time though.

Actually, a lot of the reasons most sites aren't butchered is because there are a lot of Firefox or IE-specific hacks out there. Almost anything I try to code breaks in Firefox, for example...

Last time I saw you saying that, you weren't even using correct logic in your stylesheet.

For the most part, it seems to have them correct, as the Acid2 test shows up flawlessly.

width:100%;margin-right:100px;

At first glance, this would probably make anyone think "Make the width 100%; use a margin of 100px", e.g. to have it fill all but 100px of width on the screen(/element/whatever). In Opera, this works as expected. In IE, it does as well. In Firefox, it goes off the edge of the screen and leaves a ton of blank space.

It's based on the KTHML engine. I don't know if anyone else knows this, however.

I use Firefox. It was the first non-IE browser I tried, and I've had no need to bother downloading a new one since. It has flaws, but in my experience they're nothing crippling.

I'm not going to download a new browser just so I'm using one that conforms to standards that I don't give a fuck about anyway.

IE is not a web browser. It is a viewer of a proprietary markup language based on HTML and an interpreter of a proprietary scripting language based on Javascript that happens to support downloading documents via HTTP.
