I survived not one, but two weeks without it. I had no withdrawal symptoms, and indeed, just did other stuff in that time.

But I'm from the era where people used the internet as a tool, rather than a friend. :p

Wasn't that bad.

I pretty much kept myself occupied all the time. We'd either be out side doing stuff
or inside a shack while I worked on my NSMB hack...

I'm starting to think I could have survived longer. It just feels weird jumping back into a community when you've been gone. I feel like I've missed so much. ><

I ate a car. That took a lot of time, so it was fine. That's how I survived a month without the so called "net".

Before I moved, I didn't have internet for a few days, but that wasn't really bad. I'm sure I could survive a couple weeks without internet, but eventually I'd probably go into some sort of withdrawal
If I had to go without internet for a while, I'd just read, watch TV or doodle I suppose.

I went a few weeks without when I moved. I spent the time learning how to use OpenGL from a few documents that came with it that I just happened to have on my hard drive for some reason.

About 2-3 years ago, I went 6 months without it. You get used to it after a few weeks.

I had to live with Dial up (AOL...ouch) for over a year before I finally convinced my family that DSL is better, and I would pay for everything.

After we got it, they thanked me for everything.

But I can live without the internet. Although I need it for schedules and stuff.

When my net's gone down for a few days, I've felt it.

And not because I can't visit my favorite sites or talk with people or anything like that... I don't have access to news and the like. Means I had to take time out of my day to read the newspaper.

Hi, that's me. I remember when I wanted ISDN because it was the HOTTEST SHIT around.

No, I highly doubt that. My place didn't even GET high speed access until a few years ago, and it was very overpriced, and very slow. Fucking wireless.

Same situation. DSL is a relatively new thing for me.
