Anyhow, there are a lot of MMORPGs out there these days. And quite a big number of them are "free" so to speak.
But many of them are just plain boring to play, one way or the other.

So I though, why not see if people around here have any good suggestions!

List of what I have played and why I don't like it:

Tibia - Meh, gets boring after a some time.
WoW - Game play ran stall after playing it for one year and not giving a shit about endgame did not really help.
Maple story - HAHAHAHAHA, no thanks. No grind hell for me please.
Flyff - To much grinding. Why the hell is healer class also main DPS unit? V_v
Silk road - Buggy and just not very fun.
D&D:O - Where did my puzzles go after n00b island?
Dofus - Dude, this shit is not free after all, why the fuck do you market it as a free game?

I have played some other ones but I don't recall them on the top of my head.

Anyhow, the thing with RPGs (and even more so in the MMO ones) is that there is a lot of grinding. I'm very well aware of this, I just want a game where it's FUN to do it!

Here are some major things that I would be highly interested in having in X MMORPG. But feel free to suggest any good one. And don't suggest private servers if there is much work to set it up (aka wow and such.)

Good music, it's something that can keep you going for ages if the music is good. And it's a shame that most MMO's don't put any time in music at all. Most of what I have heard is horrible. (Though, Maple story get a star for having some quite good tracks, but... grinding hell... eww)

Exploration, I want a huge world to explore without having to grind for weeks to go to another area. This should also be reflected in visuals. The new area should look new not more of the same old. What level the GFX is on does not really matter as long as it looks good (and you can tell what shit is.)

And no, I'm not gonna play golf with you! V_v;

Yeah, I'd also like to know this as well. Played a lot of MMORPGs (although not as many as you) and very few have kept my attention.

I was going to suggest Mabinogi (which is kind of fun) but it's US-only. I can play it without being in the US but the process to override it is a bit complicated..

I'm probably going to get shot for saying this but I used to play Runescape and it fit's the description of what you're looking for. There are a lot of music tracks in the game, most of which aren't that great, but some were good enough to keep me listening to them for quite a while. As far as exploration goes, there is a much larger world to explore if you pay to upgrade to a member account although the free player world isn't too bad if you're just looking for something to pass the time. The graphics aren't too bad either, they're good, but they're not great.

Give it a try and if you don't like it, don't play it. I know that quite a few people dislike it for whatever reason.

You didn't mention Trickster so I'm assuming you haven't tried it out yet.

It is a bit more colorful than other MMOs, but it is free unless you want some of the fancier stuff you can't use. I played up to level 20 I believe and had fun by myself. Playing with others you know would probably be better than being alone so you'd have to try it on your own.

Otherwise I got nothing.

I was going to try trickster along with some other dude (I don't recall who anymore.)
But we both stoped as soon as my mate noticed the game tried to instal game guard.

I really hate game guard for several reasons. :/

I really like DDO, actually. Was playing it with a few friends. While you can certainly tell later on that it's a hybrid F2P/P2P, it's still pretty good aside from that. Certainly entertaining, and relatively balanced in my experience.

Problem with DDO was the fact that it's more fun to play DD then DDO, so I might as well do that instead.

Well yeah. But at least you get dungeons that are fun. The dungeons I found on the main land in DDO ran stall very fast. And the OW areas where not much fun to explore after a while. :/

I played with a few friends while we would chat on Skype. So it was pretty entertaining. Only three of us, as well. I was the Fighter/Tank, we had a Cleric/Another Tank, and then a Rogue/Striker, if you think about what they did in battle.

Our Cleric wasn't the best at games. So while he SHOULD have been stomping on everything, that wasn't quite the case.

He did give buffs though, which was always nice. Some of those Kobold Shaman and stuff really lose their effectiveness when you've got fire resistance.

I've been testing Dragonica and it's semi-decent MMO. The quests are basic grindfest, but if you're doing the hero quest, aka. singlemultiplayer plot-line, it's quite enjoyable. The combo stuff is neat as well. Currently a level 14 warrior on the first realm to choose.

Definately should try out if you like beat-em-up's.
