Oh yeah, we have a beach about 20 minutes by car, so that's a pro, I guess. Not sure if I could tolerate that.
They moved around a while because of my dad's Air Force job, but I guess after a while his rank was high enough that he could stay put and they settled in the Thumb of Michigan. So I ended up going to school with people from long lines of farmers, who had sometimes never even been to a large city, and had very rural interests like hunting and four-wheelers and I couldn't relate to them.
