So yeah, after a few days of randomly reading posts, I thought I should say hello. I'll also dump a list of favorite stuff for your viewing pleasure:
Favorite game: Half-Life 2 Episode 2
Favorite hack: The Essence Star
Favorite drug: Echinacea
Favorite beverage: Grape Juice!
Favorite company to hate: nVidia
Well this could go on, but one of my other favorite things to do is be lazy.
I have a good reason to hate nVidia, too. Once upon a time, I bought a motherboard from them, and had the great idea to install PhysX drivers for the IGP, since my ATI card would not run PhysX (duh). As it turns out, with more recent drivers, nVidia has disabled PhysX when an non-nVidia video device is detected. So I could either get really old drivers (which means not using Windows 7 anymore) or not play any games that require PhysX. I guess it's the latter. |

Hopefully. It's especially awesome with anaglyph stereo vision drivers (which are free from iz3d.com; required 3d glasses come with many movies now). They fake the stereo in most older titles, like Episode 1, by showing the same image horizontally shifted, which is NOT cool. nVidia has a list but beware of anything not rated "Excellent".
