Okay, normally I don't make a thread unless something relevant happened recently in relation to it, like a new game in a series coming out. But in the most general sense of the term, a thread is to discuss a topic, and since this board definitely has a community familiar with the game (heh, Fraxy? come on), about time for a good general
Gradius thread.

Moments, memories, bosses you hate, bosses you made up (see: Fraxy), and games overall.

Gradius Rebirth came out not too long ago on Wii. It's a confirmed revisioning of Nemesis on Game Boy, so it only has five stages. However, the soundtrack is rather nice, consisting mostly of rarer tracks from the older titles, mostly from MSX, Famicom Gradius II, and the MSX titles (all remastered in the style of Gradius III)

I have Gradius and Gradius III downloaded from VC... but I suck so bad at them so I don't play them very much. :<

I have however, beaten the GBA one.

I have the TG-16 Gradius 2 for virtual console, and still haven't been able to reach the end of it at all. It's pretty much a straight port of the Arcade, with near perfectly preserved sound (voices sound different, and a little distracting at that.) Also it has a few new stages. Konami just CAN'T port a game straight, can they?
