So, how do you pronounce the year 2010?

I pronounce it like "twenty-ten"... much like 20/20, 20/50, etc. vision... it just feels awkward saying "two-thousand(-and)-ten"

Well yeah, then I can say, I pronounce it "kétezer tíz". Because I speak Hungarian.

But if I imagine it in English, it's "two-thousand-ten" for me. May be interesting, but I never thought on "twenty-ten".

It has similar speed to saying "oh-nine" or "oh-whateveryearitis" which is what I'm used to after so long. I get the feeling I'll be doing this until I die.

Not for me, English has taken over my first language in my brain I just say "two-thousand-ten" but for any year between 1000 and 2000 I say it like "nineteen-forty".

Yea... by the time we get to 2011 (and 2017 is not far off, either)... we'll have to say five syllables to say the year

However, 2013 through 2020 (with the exception of 2017) all require four syllables, too... and 2027 will take six syllables

Usually two thousand (and) ten, with the and added usually if I'm speaking more formally. And I'm guilty of the "oh-ten" thing, along with my dad

Later years tend to use twenty though, definitely by 2020, but not always.
