I hate that! That's why I try to not write on my laptop.

That's because you're probably accidentally hitting the mouse nipple hard enough to activate a click and your cursor is a few lines back.

But there's no mouse nipple!

I try to hit the close tab button and accidentally close the entire browser. This happens to me very often and is annoying me.

First of all. Mouse Nipples? XD!

AND now that that's out of my system.

My most awesome mis-click had to be when I was trying to open my Google Docs link, and instead, somehow, opened some pornography my brother had downloaded. It made my eyes bleed x.x

You need a better name for those things

When I used a laptop, it had this touchpad that would make the text/cursor jump to random places without touching it. Probably something inside was messed up, but it seems to be a far too common problem...

Maybe some touchpads are oversensitive, and something like a piece of dust falling on it or hair touching it will set it off. It could be somewhat like the old Tandy 1000's keyboard, which would register keystrokes at the slightest touch, and it wasn't a membrane keyboard either.

Oh, I used to misclick things. However, I've pretty much removed all buttons in Opera that I'd accidently click on, and moved a few other things around. So, browser-wise, no more issues, really.

Though, misclicking items in folders is still a rather common accident of mine.

Hahaha. Sorry to hear that, man. Misclicking can fuck your day up.

I think one of the reasons why I miss click on the laptop at work is because so many people use it and it gets dirty pretty fast.

I usually bring up the task manager quick enough to nuke the accidently-opened process before it vexes me.

Great, Exate. Sadly, I'm on Windows Vista, so 'opening the task manager' isn't as easy as it sounds.

Can't you right-click the taskbar and select "Start Task Manager" or similar? I could do that on my old Vista laptop.

On NORMAL vista machines, yes. On my laptop? Every now and again. Sometimes it just locks up, and basically gives me the finger.

Thank GOd I don't have a laptop, otherwise I'd be more pissed off than normal.

Though sometimes I lean on my drawing tablet and accidentally lean on one of the buttons as I type, then wonder why things are acting up. Right now, for instance, I leaned on one of the buttons and got the source code for this page. They're... mapped for certain functions for Photoshop.

I'm not sure if that's honesty or sarcasm, but thank you. Though I really only have the cracked version of the suite as a Christmas present two years ago.

I've been using GIMP for as long as I can remember... but before that, I was using Paint Shop Pro 7

Due to the lack of PSP 7 for Mac, I decided to try GIMP, and I've never looked back

Like most of my posts, it's honesty with a dash of sarcasm. And comedy added to taste.

And I can't draw whatsoever, especially on a computer, so I don't bother with those advanced image manipulation programs. Paint usually suits my purposes, and if it doesn't, there's Paint.NET.

I can't see how anyone can stand to have the "tap/touch/move arm over/breathe to click" enabled.

Back when AIM had that retarded "warn" function, I once had my keyboard spaz out such that it activated both the "warn" button and the confirmation popup. This turned the seemingly normal, friendly person onto the other end into a rabid moron who kept kicking and screaming until I'd blocked all 9 of his accounts. Also as it turns out, not only does "warning" not actually do anything, but it's completely worthless even as a statistic because you can just spam it until blocked; the system didn't prevent you from doing it more than once. That idiot was the only person I ever saw who gave a shit about it.

Also, those BIG FUCKING CLOSE BUTTONS in XChat and EVERY TAB of Xfce4-terminal. That gets extremely annoying because those tabs end up pretty tiny, so the button is anywhere between 1/3 and 1/2 the clickable area.

Hm, so I'm not the only one? I haven't been able to log in at all; Failurefox just discards the cookie for some reason. I set it manually instead and it works.
