(Yay usermode programs being able to take down the entire desktop!) It's also forgotten how to tell time and developed a habit of randomly simulating input (popping up menus or otherwise responding to button presses that never happened). All this without me changing any aspect of it.

I'd be afraid, but it's clearly too retarded to take over the world. It can't even perform the simple tasks it was designed for without BREAKING THE ENTIRE DESKTOP.

Try having an entire computer that's doing that.

My computer did something like that once.

It was bad RAM.

I guess similar things are caused by corrupt hard disks and bad power supplies. HyperHacker, you could try running Prime95/MPrime and see if it gives any indication of instability. (Xk, Prime95 will probably kill your computer.)

I'd hate to be your computer right about now.

Prime95 might just kill mine too. It usually doesn't give any major problems, but does tend to buckle under pressure. I think the crashing has to do with this program showing fullscreen windows with transparency. I have tested the RAM and hard disks recently.
XP always did bizarre things for no apparent reason, but about 80% of the oddities I get on Linux can be explained by me doing silly things like starting 256+ simultaneous downloads. (Oops. Network subsystem did NOT like that.)

My first came with Windows ME and insufficient cooling.

I think I saw more of the French dub of CCS than the English dub.

At least the French dub kept the original music.

Sailor Moon is something that you don't want to see dub. CCS can't be as bad as that...

Sailor Moon was bad, but not as bad as CCS was. The entire first episode that explained how the whole series starts? Put in as a (heavily cut) flashback in episode 12.

The NA dub for CCS was bad. They spliced, edited and deleted scenes and episodes, rewrote some of the subplots (like rewriting Tomoyo to be Sakura's best friend rather than Tomoyo being in love with Sakura, Sayoran and Yukito, etc.)

And also every time Sakura rollerbladed to school, that same pop music. Not to mention they *probably* edited things out (although my memory of that is a little fuzzy since I watched it on TV back in the day.)

What are you guys talking about, [trope=DisContinuity]CCS wasn't localized to america[/trope]. Cardcaptors is an horrific spawn of some sick american localization executives.

It makes me want to punch myself for not watching the actually good dub we got here.

How about the FRENCH dub of Sailor Moon. Oh lordy...

(Well, at least they had a few episodes that the English dub didn't get...)

I think when you translated the French title, the show was called "Sakura, chaser of cards" or something like that.

Eh, literally translating the nouns can give really stupid-sounding names in their languages, if there is even a correct word for that at all. Probably in French, chase and capture basically are the same thing.

Oh, very likely so.

But at least it wasn't the English dub. So it was better by default.

Looks like you found a hard topic. I'm trying best I can to talk how I don't know the series, but I can't word it properly enough.
Try again with a different topic?

This is pretty much my experience with CCS. :|

"Sakura" still makes me think of Xkeeper's alt account at I1 in 2003

I'm like that sometimes. I saw an image with Gabumon and was like "Hey, there's GabuChickenleg!"

Well, it's officially boxing day here.

The neighbours will be coming over in the evening, so the opened presents around the tree are going to have to get reorganized. :p Yesterday was a good day.

What's everyone's plans?

What the hell is Boxing Day, anyway? I've always heard of it, but never really got around to learnign about it. Or if I did, quickly forgot about it.
