Rena I had one (1) message in Discord deleted and proceeded to make a huge, huge mess about how it was a violation of free speech and how moderators are supposed to be spam janitors and nobody should have the right to tell me not to talk about school shootings Level: 135 Posts: 2738/5390 EXP: 29077152 For next: 257853 Since: 07-22-07 Pronouns: he/him/whatever From: RSP Segment 6 Since last post: 342 days Last activity: 342 days |

Post #2738 - 12-17-09 06:29:41 PM So I've hacked together a batch downloader, and when I went to adapt it to be able to grab a list of playlists from a user page, Youtube decided it didn't like that very much. It uses this URL in its script to get the playlists:
http://www.youtube.com/profile/?action_ajax=1&box_method=load_playlist&box_name=user_playlist_navigator&new=1&playlistName=rekcaHrepyH But what do I get when accessing that URL directly? while(1);{"errors": "I call shenanigans", "success": false}
They actually return an infinite loop to the calling script. I can't see what purpose that would serve other than to deliberately crash the user's browser.
Gee, Youtube, maybe if you guys weren't such jerks (like this prime example) I wouldn't have been motivated enough to get all my videos off this sinking ship in the first place. ____________________ why not? |
