At school, my roommate and I have our own temperature scale. It goes from "Cold" to "Oh God it's cold" with nothing between them. It's supposed to snow tomorrow so I'm sure it'll be hitting Oh God it's Cold temperatures soon.

It was -23°C (-9°F) here this morning (and close to that in the last few days), still pretty cold considering it's not even winter yet ... but -46°C is quite rare here, even with wind

The coldest I ever experienced was -57°C. I heard Edmonton was down to -60°C a while ago though. Needless to say, people tend to take the day off.

One thing I find a bit silly is stores that put a hot air blower at the exit. Entrance makes sense, but warm us up just before we walk back out into the cold? Gee thanks, now the temperature difference is even greater and more uncomfortable!

In South Carolina, we get an average of 40 something so far this winter. We might actually get snow this year, instead of ice. I doubt it, but it's possible. Anyway, I genuinely LOVE the cold, but sometimes it gets a bit horrible in the upper states. I once took a trip to Virginia in winter, and it was like ... 20 something degrees out. Good weather to ski in.

The Prairies in Canada have been getting destroyed with the cold weather recently... not fun.
