We all know that it's that time of year where most of the northern hemisphere gets to be pretty much cold as all fuck. Kind of sunk in me yesterday when I decide to come home early from school instead of waiting for two hours either at school or my town's library, but no. Nobody was home when I got there from the bus stop and I'm too used to having the door opened by either parent's set of keys or the door already open that I forget my keys pretty often. And this wasn't the first time this happened as well, making me really punch through to my mom's head that we need some sort of cell phones.

Essentially, I wait like an idiot for an hour and attempt to find a way to break in with no success, then decide to walk another mile to the library, warm up a bit there, and then walk a block or so to the place I told my mom to pick me up from to take me home (At this point it it obvious that I am one lazy fuck). I think that around that time, the temperature was about 17 degrees, not including wind chill.

So yeah. Instead of getting quality study time for my trig final, I had to curl up in bed and basically sleep off the cold. ANd I'm certain I flunked that final. Meaning I probably flunked the class. ><

Yea, you guys need cell phones, bad.

I used to know how to break into my parents' home when I was younger when I would forget my keys.

I didn't get my first cell phone until 2003, actually... (and I got my current one in 2007, so yea... shows how outdated I can be with some technology)

I live by myself, so if I forget my keys, I'm screwed even with a phone. What moron invented doors that automatically lock when they're closed with no key, anyway? In Germany, I locked myself out twice and had to wait for someone who could both pick a lock and speak at least basic English I never learned how to say "Pick my lock, please" in German.

I once was marching in the Chic-Fil-A bowl parade, and it was not pleasant.

Mind you, this was in Atlanta, but still, the wind chill there is ridiculous, especially on New Years Eve.

The rest of the week will be really cold, but with no snow...

I live in southern CA, so one would expect it to not ever get too cold down here.

Granted the temperature here during the winter is weak in comparison to the northern states, it's been colder than it has been the past few years. It snowed in January of this year, which marked the first time we had snow for quite a few years. I won't be surprised if we get another snow day again.

During the time I visited my sister in Illinois during '08, the temperature was 2 degrees fahrenheit on average, and my room was halfway into the ground. Granted this chill was killing me, I'd much rather sit through that than experience the smoldering hot days we get out here during the summer.

I'm in Michigan, which gets pretty cold as you'd probably expect.

The worst winter I remember was in 2003, where it pretty much stayed single digits Fahrenheit for about 2.5 months, then never got very warm (40s in June).

The summers are surprisingly hot though. I prefer it in between

Hot summers and cold winters? I couldn't deal with both extremes without becoming really bitter at some point.

Yeah, summers usually go into the 90s for at least a little while So it's about a 100-degree F spread through a whole year. I don't like it, I'd rather have 50 all year.

It's been getting pretty cold out here lately. I've been thinking about buying something to cover my face up with...

It gets a little nipply at times here in GA. But nothing to fierce.

Usually I wear a hoodie and a double layer of clothing on if I am going outside in the cold. I feel nice a snug.

Also, I hope it snows this year.

Also, astronomical humidity. Northern Midwest weather sucks for like 8 months out of the year.

It didn't get too warm here this summer, at least... although I still wouldn't mind living in either Canada or the Pacific Northwest

Like Bitmap says "It gets a little nipply at times here in GA" is true. There are times tho when it is god awful cold. I can't stand it at all. What really sucks is the fact my car doesn't have heat. . . . Yeah I'm screwed again this year.

It would depend on the part of Canada. Southern Ontario still gets hot like Michigan does in the summer And do you like mild or actual cold? Vancouver is mild like Seattle, someplace like Yukon would be really cold like Alaska

Yea, I'm thinking about perhaps moving to Vancouver, actually (not too far from Seattle and pretty... also home to the 2010 Winter Olympics)

It's 78 right now. A bit cooler from yesterday's 85 degree weather.

And I'm planning to move to Seattle I'd like to live in Canada someday. Maybe, it depends on how settled I get Maybe I'll move to Vancouver too eventually and we'll be neighbours and not know it. "This girl next door seems to mumble about Jul a lot..."
