I'm working on a custom level using NSMB Editor 5.0 (great job Treeki and dirbaio!), so far I've got the level mostly complete. The level is a fortress with a secret exit, which I originally had as a mini pipe covered by blocks. I've since changed my mind and would like to put the mini pipe in a hidden area, just off screen to the left.

I've adjusted the view and added the hidden area, however I can't get the scroll controls to work properly. Basically what I have is a small gap, and when Mario passes through it I want the camera to focus on the hidden room. Currently the camera/view works fine until Mario gets to the hidden room, at which point the camera shows the hidden room.

I know Nintendo used these scroll controls in other levels, I just can't remember which ones. If anyone remembers (or has a way to search for) which levels these scroll controls are in, I'm sure I can investigate and figure them out for myself.

And once the level is complete, I'll make sure to post it for review... I'm quite proud of how it's turned out so far, and this scroll control is the last thing holding me back from completing the level. Ultimately I plan to rebuild the level using Reggie! when it's released, but for now I'm having fun with NSMBe5.

Here's a screenshot of what this part of my level looks like:

Go to Tools, click Data Finder and enter the number. It will show you every level that sprite is located in, and the sprite data associated with each instance.

There's the wiki for sprites. It has all you need to know.

i think that for the thing you want to do you need a 276 sprite.

the 19x scroll controls are for vertical scrolling.
