How would you improve it? Don't worry too much about technical limitations.

You may list multiple games if you so desire.

As for me, I would alter Zelda II in the following ways:
- Remove the 3-life system and replace it with standard Zelda infinite continues. You may continue from the start of the dungeon or the last overworld area you exited (like a cave or town).
- Have enemies drop recovery hearts randomly.
- Possibly have enemies also drop rupees and allow Link to buy or collect a few weapons (bombs, bow and arrow, boomerang...) and life/magic refill potions.
- At the very least, make items that do something rather than "You must have item X to get spell Y or enter area Z" over and over.

I like the concept of Zelda II as a side-scroller with levels and EXP, but it's too fucking hard and they removed too much stuff from the original game, IMO.

Make more achievements available for Borderlands on XBOX360, relating to challenges, along with including more challenges other than "Kill x with y z times".

Give Star Wars: KotoR 2 the ending that it should have gotten instead of rushing it out.

Revamp most of Metroid Prime 3.

-Hypermode upgrades were generally useless and should have been replaced with series staples such as Super Missiles and Power Bombs.
-The story should not have restricted the exploration as much as it did. You are basically stuck in a story track until the end and there aren't any true optional areas to explore aside from that one area on Bryyo.
-Make it so that Spider Ball didn't feel arbitrarily tacked on. In prime 2 it was a late-game item but it still had lots of usage. In prime 3 it was even later and got almost no use.
-Remove the "escort the federation troopers" part of the pirate homeworld. The AI on those guys is so bad and it's near impossible to keep them alive even on easy.
-Make the final boss an actual challenge. It's the end of the trilogy. Dark Samus is done for, make her go out with a bang, not by fusing with some Mother Brain ripoff that was pathetically easy and unmemorable. You know how you win? Mash A with ~no strategy.

There were a lot of things I was disappointed with in prime 3. I hope Other M lives up to expectations.

Quest 64 ended up more or less failing. It had potential, but its main flaws were that most of the environments were unmemorable and bland, so you'd often get turned around. The game was also very linear and the story was not that great. All these things could have been improved; there is literally no reason to backtrack or anything.

Some of the dungeons were just *awful* because you'd run through identical corridors for an hour fighting the same enemires over and over and over. The Brannoch castle is a good example, if you've played the game, as well as some of the caves that are just a narrow brown or blue tunnel.

It just needed more variety, which is what I would have added. If it weren't for the monotony of some of the areas, it might have been a more popular game.

I would like to follow this up by:

-Removing all useless motion controlled things. (Flipping switches, grappling hooking enemies, etc)
-A hint system that does not bug up itself and does in fact show where you should go.
-Replacing the on rail shooting in sky town with standard gameplay.
-Ice beam and not ice missiles.
-You can turn off and mix beams as you want.
-Wave beam should be added as well as some other new beam.
-Giving you the option to play with gamecube controller in case you want too.
-You don't have to link up with another wii system to unlock all extras.

That's all for now...

More suggestions for Prime 3.

I didn't mind the motion controls actually but the rest I'll agree with for the most part. I've got a couple others.

-Make Missiles actually useful. With the ability to fire your beams as fast as you can mash A, missiles become useless. In Prime 1 and 2 missiles were essential and often the best ways to fight Space Pirates and other enemies like Magmoors and Turrets. And in Prime 2 Seeker Missiles were great fun to fire off at enemies.
-To go along with the selectable beams, add different firing rates for combinations. in prime 1, power beam could be fired as fast as you hit the button but was weak. The other beams were more powerful but shot slower. You had to judge the situation appropriately. In Prime 2, you could fire beams fast, but with the ammo system, you didn't want to do so, instead keeping to power beam for fear of burning through your beam stockpiles. In 3, there is none of this so you just spam the button whenever you see an enemy and it's dead before you know it.
-As an aside, the switching beams brought an element of strategy to fights. Prime 3's fights, especially space pirate ones boiled down to mashing A for 5 seconds to kill one guy, then turning to the next and repeating. Or if you didn't feel like wasting the time, switch to hypermode and destroy all semblance of a challenge. Even the boss fights boiled down to simply hitting them in a way that make them vulnerable to hypermode, then mashing A in hypermode to kill them.

:| Yeah, I have very mixed feelings about prime 3.

I'd have settled for bugfixes, myself. I triggered an item duplication glitch without even knowing one existed. Bug testing? What's that?

Star Fox Assault: Either remove the Landmaster levels (preferred), or let us switch control schemes for the Landmaster and on-foot gameplay seperately instead of idiotically linking them together. Most people would probably say the same about the foot levels, but the Landmaster just felt too slow to me.

Aerogauge: Make boosting less stupid. You have to slide into a turn (Z) while holding the gas (A), then at the end of the turn let go of both and then push them again. You can understand where this is a little tricky to pull off consistently. The game's only using three buttons to begin with, it's not like they're lacking free buttons for a logical boost system. More than six levels? Probably another good idea, but Chinatown's good enough to almost make up for it.

Armored Core: Last Raven: Starting off a bit less ball-stompingly hard (after the intro mission) would be a pleasant change. Not making the kamikaze drones in the battle with Crow focus on the player, also a good idea. Other similar "let's try not programming the game to actively hate the player" measures would also be appreciated.

R-Type Final: The level pacing really needs some work. It did a hell of a job setting up future games (like the R-Type Command series), and the atmosphere was great, but... Pacing. Really needs work. Some actual music in the style of past R-Types would've also been a nice inclusion.

Give just about every game the option to edit levels, and that sort of thing. Also, fix a lot of graphics and models on older games, like LoZ: OoT and SSB.

Enchanted Arms:
- Better music. A 15-second loop is boring and annoying.
- Better dialogue and more towns
This game feels so empty. It`s sad.
-Remove 999 stat cap
You cap 75% through. It`s annoying. You get 999 in all at Lv. 60-70. The level cap is 999 for whatever reason.
- Better balance.
I found Golems useless
- Better effects.
The spell effects are boring. They`re just swirly lines.

Golden Sun needs more directions. The original and the sequel. I could not, for the life of me, figure out where to go or what to do. Thank god for GameFAQs.
Mass Effect needed to be longer.

This.

Also, recode numerous PC games so that game speed isn't based on hardware speed.

And introduce a save feature to SMB3 NES, even if it's a password.

Nintendo wouldn't have been silly enough to put a PASSWORD on SMB3... imagine how big that thing would be. At least 16 characters I'm guessing. The Zelda games had batteries so they could have done the same thing.

Final Fantasy Legend could have used, oh... a translation that made sense? I'm not saying FFL2 was perfect but it's sooooo much more polished than the original. Funny thing is that Square did a great job with the FFL manual but the game itself, English-wise, was a wreck.

I'd fix C&C Generals Zero Hour to get it from the alpha stage to something... er, playable. It's obvious from all the unused files that they actually planned much more but didn't really get anywhere before time was up.

If they only save the current world and cleared fortresses it shouldn't be too large. You'd lose your P-Wings, but it's not like you are going to use them ever besides in the fast airships stage.
