Personally, I use Mozilla Firefox 99% of the time. The rest of the time, it's either using IE, Safari, or Chrome for testing.

Edit: And sometimes Lynx.

I've used Netscape and IE way back in the day, and I tried Chrome

Internet Explorer 7, because that's what I'm used to. I occasionally use Safari when Windows is off . I have Firefox, too, but it uses up more resources than I'd like.

Only downside to IE for me is missing out on Ikachan.

Edit: Firefox is actually almost unusable for me. It lags when scrolling at all and nearly freezes when I try to enter an address because of the suggestions.

I primarily use Opera, but I still switch to FireFox on occasion for certain pages where a few add-ons come in handy, or for pages that just work better in it for some reason. Internet Explorer 7 I use only when necessary. I also use all three for compatibility checks, testing and whatnot. When I get more into web design I'll probably throw Chrome into the mix too.

Firefox 3. It's not quite a noticeable resource hog on my compy, mainly because of the 3.25 GB or readable RAM on it.

Mozilla Firefox 3.5.5 is my main. I have Opera 10, IE8, and Chrome installed, too, but of those, I only ever really use Opera.

Boring.

FF3 and sometimes Safari on OS X. On Windows, just FF, and rarely IE if there is a page that really only works in IE (e.g. ... windows update on XP.)

Paulguy's Post configuration
Primarily Opera but occasionally Firefox. I don't use lynx exactly, but I use one of it's relatives, links2 when I'm setting up my computer and don't have X11 or anything like that, yet.

I used Internet Explorer primarily, before I found Firefox back in like, 2004ish... when I was firebird or firephoenix 0.7 I think.

The elementary school I went to had Netscape on the 1 powermac that had dial-up. It was some old version, I barely recall using it.

I also have a Mac so I used Safari on it for a bit until I got annoyed and downloaded Opera.

Firefox 3, although it is a little heavy for a half gig of memory. Once enduring a start up time of about 30 seconds (I am not running too many addons) and just minimizing and never closing it, the resource consumption is actually no big deal here.

The customizability is really good, and those awful bugs like vanishing buttons back to 0.x days (today you can do a simple upgrade install, even before Firefox' own update mechanism was implemented) are gone since 1.x, a long time ago.
Occasionally I throw in Opera 10, which starts up quite fast - it has a very nicely done UI and looks good, even with its default theme

Internet Explorer 8 only kicks in, if I have to use Windows Update manually which is rare, or in Firwefox via IE Tab add-on, for displaying pages properly who only work in IE [...].

Firefox, IE, Lynx, Opera, Chrome. In that order.

Firefox... guess. Best on resources from my experience, and runs best to boot.

IE mostly because Procaster/mIRC liked to open links in it... and if I just want to open a single page while streaming I'll use it instead of Firefox.

Lynx is a remnant from the AOL days, but still a nice web browser I find.

Opera... it's okayish I guess. Higher resource usage (I think FF eating up huge amounts of RAM is only an issue on Windows below 7... it's never gotten nasty for me), sometimes becomes unresponsive... but what killed it for me was when it stopped loading my college's wireless login page, yet IE and FF worked just fine. Never looked back.

I've been looking at Chrome lately, actually. Its new-process-per-page idea has me shaky (how will the resource use be? granted I have 2+ GB of RAM on every computer but still), but it seems on-par with Firefox otherwise.

I will never touch Safari unless somehow I'm trapped on a Mac and that's all I have.

Prior to switching to Firefox, I used Netscape 4.x and 6.x for the longest time... I never actually used Internet Explorer as my main browser

I switched to Firefox in 2004, right when 1.0 came out

Although I used Safari when I had a Mac, I still kept Firefox around because some pages didn't like Safari...

My dad didn't like IE, and my parents spent years using Netscape. I can't remember when I told my mom about Firefox, but I think it was in at least 2005.

NETSCAPE AHAHAHAHAHA

Just kidding. I use x64 Firefox. It's the latest descendant of the browsers I've preferred to use.

(Netscape 2.0-3.9 ish Communicator/Navigator -> Mozilla -> Seamonkey -> Firefox)

Firefox 2 on my desktop, Firefox 3.5 on my laptop (I refuse to upgrade to 3.5 on the desktop until something is done about image resampling). I also have Chrome installed, but it's strictly for testing whenever I get around to doing Web design again.
