Did anyone else watch either of those shows?

I used to watch Bill Nye pretty much every day after school I thought it was hilarious and I was somewhat interested in science. It used to be on PBS, which seems to have pretty much completely abandoned the preteen market in favour of preschool stuff (then again, I haven't watched PBS in so long, so it may have changed again) I watched Beakman's World earlier, so I don't remember it as much.

Yep. Used to watch it before it was on PBS. I think it was on ABC or one of the other networks.

Bill Nye was awesome. I have the dinosaur episode on VHS

I remember Beakman's World extremely vaguely, I have no idea how long it's been since I watched that.

From what I understand, they're trying to build up their non-preschool market up again, but there's seriously not much to look forward to.

I usually forget about Beakman's World, but as soon as I see the fat rat suit I remember. I prefer Bill Nye.

Gotta love the theme song!

I can pretty confidently say that Bill Nye the Science Guy is one of three reasons I've wanted to become a scientist since my early childhood. Too bad I can't remember just about anything from the show, seeing that I was around seven when I last watched it. (Excluding one episode I watched recently.)

I have not, however, seen Beakman's World at all, and I wasn't aware that it even existed until very recently.

I LOVED Bill Nye, and I still watch it to this day for nostalgia I never watched Beakman's World though. In fact, I think I actually chose to watch Captain Planet rather than Beakman's World, and that's pretty bad.
