I posted a topic about this game a good while ago but I did not feel like bumping that old topic!
Some new info came up on 1up.com

It's the calm before the holiday release storm over in Japan right now, but a few new games caught our (and Famitsu's) attention nonetheless:

- 3D Dot Game Heroes (8/8/7/7, 30 points): Famitsu's review of From Software's silly retro-RPG romp is about what you'd expect. "The gameplay and so on is one enormous homage to Zelda and there are references to NES games everywhere, making this a nostalgia-laden trip," one reviewer wrote. "The graphics and blocky animations are very pretty, fusing old with new seamlessly, but the game itself is, for better or for worse, pretty orthodox."

Your opinion of the game will likely depend on your age more than anything else, the way Famitsu sees it. "The sheer amount of ripoffs...er, homages to other games is enough to put a smile on the face of any thirtysomething gamer," as one put it. "It's a well-made title and fun in its own right, but if you try to evaluate this as a new and original game, then you can't help but start to have doubts."

Also, see trailer that I posted in last topic:
<object width="560" height="340"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9UvYWMSRAVo&hl=sv&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>

And... lastly they have a website right here: http://www.3d-heroes.net/

The only reason I'm not getting this is that I don't have a PS3!

Edit:

If you look around the website then I'm sure you can find the menu that shows images of a few bosses... some look like right out off zelda 1 to be honest!

The game at 1up.com: http://www.1up.com/do/gameOverview?cId=3172054

Yes this is awesome. Why? Because Nintendo has shown us that instead of making good 2D Zelda games they're making gimmicky ones that overuse the stylus which ultimately wrecks the game (or at least that's what I think). If this game plays anything like the 2D Zelda games used to then this game is officially awesome in my books, even if it does seem like a bit of a ripoff .

I plan to get this as soon as it comes out .

I'm sure you're not surprised that the game's coming out in North America...

You'll be even less surprised at who's publishing it.

Atlus, May 2010.

From Software is happy with Atlus' job with Demon's Souls?

Demon's Souls would be the one that was a rage-inducing controller-breaker disguised as an action-rpg. Seriously felt like I was playing a really, really pretty NES game. One of the better PS3 games out there. :O
