This is a thread specifically made for 360 / PS3 users. We 'Achievement Hunters' have a lot to go by: Basically some games out there take a LOT out of your regular schedule: So it's best to name the game, and the achievement / Trophy that is just about impossible to get.

To start things off. And like I always start out threads: Let's begin with Unreal Tournament 3.

I am not 100% sure if the Xbox version is the same as the PS3. But holy shit. Here is the trophy list

Now, the "Beating chapter X on insane" is not that difficult if you play online with friends. And that "Untouchable" trophy? I beat it, so it's beatable.

But the "Get a life Trophy"? You have got to be fucking kidding me. 200 kills on 50 different days? Good luck finding a server that does that. The PS3 UT3 community is dead. Not to mention online SUCKS on that game (Thanks Midway, your servers are always great. I love 300 ping on my awesome internet).

And to top it all off WipeoutHD Trophies

The game is simple once you get it. But one trophy...ONE FUCKING TROPHY...

...Beat Mr. Zico.

Sounds easy? You are a fucking dumbass.

Beating Mr. Zico takes time, effort, and perfect timing. You have to get everything absolutely perfect. Make one mistake? Start over, might as well start the fuck over.

I tried one day. I made 200 laps attempting this; failed. Closest I got was 50 milliseconds behind the damn time to beat him.

I realize that I'm not exactly part of the targeted audience here, as I don't have a 360 or a PS3 ... but I've got the PC version of UT3 and Steam has all of the same achievements. I have yet to finish the final chapter of the campaign on Insane (those deathmatches are HARD,) but I managed all the other chapters without needing to play co-op.

I've also got Untouchable by accident at one point. 20 kills against Godlike bots without dying. It was a match where the only weapon I had turned on was the Bio Rifle, though. The computer is not good at dodging sludge.

The Get a Life trophy is a bit less difficult since you can host a local multiplayer game in the PC version and it counts toward the achievement even if you're only fighting bots. :/

But ... damn, do I love that game.

Bagel, you are the man. I never thought about hosting my own server with bots. Wow.

Now I can finally get that trophy.

There are other online trophies (Winning 50 online matches), but I already made about 25 of them without even trying. My God. Thank you so much.

I bet that with time trialling for 2-3 months on a regular basis, you'd have no problems beating this. This isn't a matter of having one perfectly executed run, it's just a matter of built up skill over time. When I was in my prime in MKDD, I could beat any staff ghost by well over ten seconds.

Anyways, I got the 60 point trophy on Sonny 2. The super final boss was terribly easy compared to some of the earlier extra bosses.

I take it back on the UT3 trophies. For starters, that 200 kills on 50 different days? Turns out that you can fast forward time on your PS3 and it works. I already got 25 days in, and tomorrow I am going to get the rest of it.

And beating chapter X on insane can be easily done if you do them on novice, and switch over to Insane on certain levels. You can kill two birds with one stone if you have not already completed the campaign. Making it easy trophies.

Many, MANY thanks to Bagles about the bot trick. I would have never thought of that.

It's just really time consuming. Should take me a week to get.

There's a few achievements in World of Warcraft that require dedication. However, there's this one achievement I've been trying to get...

Battlemaster

Basically, this achievement requires you to do tons of other achievements in every single battleground. 100 wins in each battleground? Some extremely hard to get achievements, such as winning a match in 6 minutes (where as it usually takes 15-30 minutes)?

Another one is Insane in the Membrane. You'll be grinding your soul out with this one

They're joking...right? That's basically asking "Hey guys I need to kill you for this achievement until I'm number one" and if you do that in any other game odds are nobody will like you.

Anyways, look at this achievement for Mercenaries 2:
Earn $1 billion - 25 points - Billion Dollar Babies
This isn't just simply getting $1,000,000,000. You have to have a PS3 with an internet connection to tell EA's servers you earned one billion. Here's the catch: some people have reported the leaderboards recognizing that they did indeed get the one billion requirement...but the achievement doesn't appear. And it doesn't work after getting a higher score than that either. For those people, it's a pity. All I can say is hope that this doesn't happen to you.
(Also there's four(plus a fifth that you don't know if you're going to get or not due to its nature) trophies that require playing in co-op mode. Seeing as how I don't like to play with random people much, you can guess how that works out for me.)

I've tried this. It doesn't seem to work, at least on PC, unless I play the whole chapter in Insane mode. It also doesn't count if you use any console commands that are considered "cheats" (like "god", "loaded", addbots, etc.) I have yet to be able to complete the Deathmatches in Sanctuary or Fearless on Insane (though I've come close on Fearless, I lost 37-40.) Sanctuary seems to be messed up if you choose it first, it only goes to 25 kills. But with the enemies all being Godlike and my own being Masterful, I end up with only 9 or 10 kills by the time the opposition gets 25.

Some of the achievements for UT3 are just dumb. Collect every single powerup on every map? ... I have 60 maps. Of these ... I think I've gotten every powerup on nine of them, from a couple hundred hours of total game play. It would be easier if I set out on an empty map with no opposition but that would be pretty boring.

I'm not part of the PS3/360 crowd, so I guess I don't really understand the importance of achievements. I don't even bother going for 100% in most games, unless I get something neat or useful out of it (sound test, secret character, new levels, etc.). A little gold star just doesn't do it for me.

I love getting achievements and I try to get as much as I can out of a game. Unless it bores me after a while. I only have a few games that I have all achievements in.
