I don't have much of a problem saying things when I'm online, but my shyness is still apparent online when I try playing some online game. I can't get enough courage to just join in a game. It's stupid too, because most of the time, nobody complains about how bad I play and help when I'm new to the game.

I'm very anxious around people in person. I have a lot of trouble talking to people I don't know and sometimes even initiating a conversation with people I do know. Probably not especially rare as far as people like me with no life go, though.
On the forums I'm alright. When I first join a forum or IRC channel, I tend to kinda sit back and see what the environment is like, then gradually get more comfortable talking to people. On IRC, though, I tend to eventually get too comfortable and my terrible social problems become even more apparent, and everyone ends up getting annoyed by me. Though that hasn't been the biggest problem, in recent months...
I'm a pretty shy person in real life. When ever I talk to someone older than me (such as a teacher) my face usually turns red and I start to get nervous.
I used to be shy online although lately I've been a lot more social. The reason that I haven't been posting very much lately is because school has been taking up a lot of my free time .

It's hard when you're around people that have nothing in common with you. People wonder why I don't talk much at work. Most of them don't even know what a 360 is. At least I've found some servers that I can talk to. And I thought the back and the front of the house weren't suppose to get along?

Yes.
I grew up in the country where most people's lives at school revolved around farming, hunting, and four-wheelers, and I was a transplant from suburbia (I was 9 when my parents moved) so I didn't understand or have interest in those things.
I am shy enough that I will forsake food if obtaining it means going to a crowded place with people I don't want to draw the attention of. I talk and have fun with my friends, but when I'm alone, I'm almost completely silent. I greatly prefer to be alone or with a few friends.
Of course, on the internet, I can be as open as I want, because I don't have to be there talking in real time with people, I can just post messages or chat with text.

I'm an incredibly picky eater, like the average 3-year-old but an adult, and I'm rather embarrassed by it, so unless it's with someone I'm very close to, I'll generally avoid eating in public or going to restaurants as part of a group. Diners at other tables don't bother me, so I can eat out when I'm by myself.
