I actually do this on boards with smilies I don't like... with AB emotes.

I can tolerate ones in the style PureZC uses, too.

I once frequented a Proboard whose owner apparently liked the BbBoard smilies better, so they were put in the censored words area as an alternate set of smileys. They were pretty cool. A ROFL smiley that rolls and laughs, a rainbow happy smiley, a smiley with a hammer, etc. Then, they were removed and the old posts look weird.
