What do you think Jul will be like 10, 20, 50, even 100 years from now? Wild, wacky, and crazy speculation is welcomed, hence my putting this in Craziness and not General or (worse) Help, Suggestions, Bug Reports

Will we be sitting in our nursing home beds around the world with the 2070s or so equivalent of laptops, still communicating and making bets on who will die first?

Will we bring our children to the board where they will laugh at their parents' silly posts?

Will the board enter some new medium in the future, or still stay on more or less the old AcmlmBoard software? On a related note, will we have incarnation after incarnation like Acmlm's had, with various descendants of the community splitting off to their own hubs?

Will we be trying to get oldbies back after decades? "Hi, I'm ********, I last posted 46 years ago in 2007. How many of us are still alive?"

Or will our community simply die a slow, agonizing death, as members slowly lose interest and disperse elsewhere?

I wouldn't look too far ahead for that... maybe a year or two.

I just hope the place continues to last a while. I don't foresee it going anywhere anytime soon... it has what made the first board relatively stable.

I never really liked Spongebob anyway, but I feel that the future will be apocalyptic... so no, I don't expect everything to go chrome

I'm picturing the future to be like a neo-medieval era, only with slightly more advanced technology and classical styles of building to become popular again...

I have a guess, but please don't shoot me for it, because I see things through heavily scratched dark glasses.

1. Several more drama things. Who knows what they will be? No one. Who will be doing it? Nobody can know, now. But as usual, somebody, somewhere, will act like a dumba@# and make a mess. Followed by cleaning it up. Followed by wild spreeing.
2. Mega Mario will rejoin many more times. He will also probably become even further an object of hilarity, and his idiocy will continue to make Ninja AE look like a genius.
3. The board software will be sloooowly modded into a Jul-unique system. It's already halfway there, but over years, it could easily change further.
4. More staff changes, promotions/demotions, forum shifting. Focus of the forum will morph based on what's here.
5. The current rash of huge amount of posts will eventually die down to something a little bit slower. Sorry, but, like the stock market, it tends to fluctuate, and there is no such thing as a 'permanent high.'
6. Lotsa people we won't know yet or knew in the past and were banned then being banned. I'm talking all those gray names that just vanish inexplicably. There's always someone who gets themselves banned for doing dumb things.
7. More SM64 hacking development. Perhaps by 5 years from now the game's engine will be more or less usable to make games with--although keeping its quirks, as many of those are extremely hard to remove. Replacing Mario with Mario-part-matching objects possible.
8. I become increasingly weird and ancient, and eventually become indistinguishable from Incarnation 1 oldbies speaking about stuff so ancient nobody else remembers. If I haven't already.
9. Various funny things with other boards, some of them intersecting here. Since this place has connections, if you know what I mean.
10. People suggest we upgrade the board to HTML 6.0. Canned laugh track follows.
11. In the year 2075, the RPG system is fully completed.
12. I eventually begin making threads about wacky things I do once I have left home and am at a proper University.
13. Meetups, maybe?
14. Bitmap vs. NSNick drinkoff.
15. Xkeeper turns some large age and remembers to do wacky board things, hilarity ensues.
