Yea... I'm wondering how many people here wear glasses or contacts...

As for me, I first got glasses when I was 19, although I probably should've gotten them much earlier, at around age 15 or 16 I guess my parents really weren't paying attention...

I pretty much wear them all the time, although my prescription is starting to become outdated (it's been two years since my last eye exam)... I used to wear contacts more often, but then I switched back because I felt weird with them

My eyes are really bad... like -6.50/-7.00, so I have a hard time seeing my alarm clock in the morning

I don't wear either (although I probably should be wearing something considering the fact that my vision isn't that great ). I would probably wear glasses if I had a choice between them and contacts though, I always thought that glasses would look good on me .

Same here, I was just blessed with good eyes. Used to be better than 20/20, but now I'm pretty sure the monitors are starting to take their toll on my eyes.

My sister got glasses when she was 3 or 4, after being struck by lightning and surviving

I wonder if it was the lightning strike that made her nearly blind as a bat, or if it was just a coincidence... at least she was lucky enough to survive

Huh, there are apparently more people with vision problems than without. I'm a minority

If I needed something to correct my vision, though, I'd probably go with glasses. Contacts seem like they'd be uncomfortable, not to mention more time-consuming to put on.

I switch between the two. I used to only need glasses to read but my eyes got worse. I almost always wear contacts unless I'm just around the house and cannot be bothered. So its rare to see me in glasses

I don't wear either. Although to be honest I will probably need one or the other sometime in my life, due to family history combined with hours and hours of staring at CRTs and whatnot.

If that were to happen I'd probably go with glasses just because I'd probably constantly lose my contacts or just get tired of dealing with them in general.

I never had to wear any before. Though I haven't seen an eye doctor in a very very longer time. I should once I get some type of insurance again sense I don't have any.
