Yea, just to get an exponent in Java, you need to call Math.pow(x,y) instead of just doing "x ^ y", etc.

Actually, few languages use the ^ for exponentiation

C uses pow(x,y), although admittedly that's less clumsy

I don't like how Java makes you put pretty much everything in a class though

I was never much for OOP, and when I do use it I don't need to object-orient everything. C++ lets you selectively use classes, and Java makes you use them for everything.

Yea, it's a shame how few programming languages have certain math functions, like reciprocal trig functions or logs of bases other than e or 10

For me, there's still a loooooong way to go. Damn Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2 for thaving, like, two expansion packs with a buttload of scenarios. I haven't 100% the original RCT pack yet.

RCT 1 & 2, from what I can tell, are simply quite literally coasting games. All you have to do is pay attention 25% of the time, and spend the rest of it doing whatever. I'm currently playing Katie's World righ tnow, but I'm getting other things done while I'm at it so I don't end up spending 500 hours on two games. Then again, I may end up logging over 500 hours in the various Digimon DS games.

Yea, I loved RCT1 more than RCT2, actually... sure, RCT2 had custom scenery and rides, but RCT1 will always hold a place in my heart ♥
