Like 1 or two years ago, a hacker named 0newingdangl (actually is how it is spelt)
created a program for Windows XP called maria 64 movie maker, it allowed many machinimist to create good cinematic poses for well...machinima, anyways then windows vista came out, and the program doesn't work with windows vista, they have a alternative freeze code(but it sucks), and now with windows 7 released, no one still has fixed it,
i am a somewhat well known machinimist, not by this name, but anyways with windows 7 being good for gaming, (and cheaper than xp) iv decided to switch to 7, but now my friend has told me window 7's xp mode cant run 3D programs(Project 64) and even when Mario 64 is in xp mode, it cant work with windows vista/7 project 64
this is why i plead, this forum is known for the good hackers of the game engine, and was thinking that this community can create a build off it so that it works with the newer windows OS

| Without having looked at the program, I believe that W7 and Vista has restrictions on WriteProcessMemory(), so that may be the problem. |

| What does the tool do? Only freezes the and modify the camera position? If so, the same can be done through Gameshark codes. |

| Yes but Mario movie maker is better than codes, it allows you to move marios head with any angle you want, which can really effect machinima quality, so in general its better than any code |

Perhaps if it did more or you were going to program it yourself, or someone else had decided to program it, I'd let this stay open, but as per forum rules...
The topic is really without merit as the utility doesn't do much, doesn't work on Vista or 7, etc. etc.
Additionally, this forum is not a willy nilly 'program this for me' request place. Contrary to how it may seem, the people here have to work for quite a while to make progress, and so they generally stick to what interests them. Your idea sounds interesting, but ultimately is kind of a stub.
So it's really kind of iffy. I'd suggest you bring it up in the SM64 mods topic and ask people their ideas there... although if the site is infested with trojans, I will have to ask you either mirror the content without trojans or find some other way to distribute it--just a convenience thing, you know.
I'll leave this topic in the forum for a bit just in case something comes up and/or someone chooses to help you and PMs you, but it'll remain closed.
