I memorized the keyboard layout within a few years too, but still had to look at it just to make sure I pressed the right keys, then eventually my typing improved and I was able to do it without


(still typing with my eyes closed too, except for the last line like this ... 2 posts without typos now )

Looks like most of the posts in this thread are rather short. The point of typng eyes-closed is to see how far you can go without a mistake, or is it how infrequently you make mistakes? I'm not sure.

Anyways, I'm going to try to gofor many more letters overall than I have seen total throughout this thread. My biggest mistake? Hesitating. I may have forgotten that I was in the middle of a word when I hesitate, or "Did I space maybe I did" when really I didn't.
All of this post has been typed eyes closed, including this explanation sentence. The only thing I did with my eyes open was click on "New Reply", which I'll have to do in a bit. Looking to see if anyone makes a longer post than this. Because seriously, six words with your eyes closed and that's it? Dissapointing...if that's even how to spell it. Wait...dammit, how do I backspace something lokg that I decided not to type? And oogh my head is spinning...shutting up now.

O jsbr mp pfrs joe yjis is going to turn out. I think my primary problem is going to be sometimes being too far to the left or right of the keys I want to hit; nit I expect the occasional grammar error as well. That's because I do an alarming amount od self-checking in that regard and if I don't slow down and think carefully then my sentences have no chance to survive make their time.

I feel like maybe the whole point of this thread is to show off or something? Roll a my eyes. But really I've never done this before so I expect to learn something at least when my open my eyes. Keeping myself honest is requiring a ridiculous density of will sabes; I keep wanting to check to see if I've done something incredibly stupid, and somethines I hit backspace and I sdon't know why. I don't think I can keep it up any longer, actually.



so, that first sentence is pretty hilarious. Not sure how I ended up fixing that? Also, when my open my eyes? What.

I typed like that around that age as well, but slowly evolved from that to "proper" typing after enough years passed ... nearly doubled my typing speed from that as well


So yeah, I'd do a longer post to see how long I can last with my eyes closed, but that's a bt hard when I can't look at previous posts for things to reply to, or even what I'm typing, or how much I've typed, and of course I can't go back over what I typed to add more orcorrect things

Then again, I've probably already said enough before this if you look at my 3 posts combined, so do I really havee to I probably did at least a few typos this time though, but probably still very few, I'll find out once IM'm done typing ...

Most of my typos (if any) were probably from hitting 2 lkeys at once or not correcting them properly, as sometimes I can't be sure whether I typoed or not, and correcting that when there wasN't a typo to start with would result in a missing letter

Ok, this isn't the "double the word count for each post" thread so I'll stop now *opens eyes* yep, only a few typos from exactly what I said Yet I usually do more than that normally ...

This should be pretty easy. I remember having typing machine thingys in elementary school, so I'm pretty familiar with a keyboard layout. The little nubs on the home row help, too.
