My first signature ever had my email address (and then I wondered where all the spam came from ...), then gradient text ... at least that improved enough by the time AcmlmBoard and post layouts came up


And yes, I've seen plenty with bad backgrounds (or colors), lots of animated GIF's, large images, text in the way (the signature separator is there for a reason) or C: URL's, but making fun of them like here was always funny

The signature separator has actually always bugged me, especially since I'd rather have my own which is themed to my layout. I wish there was some way to disable it for layouts where it make sense, without having abusable by morons.

I've stuck with the iceberg layout since 2005 or so. I just twist it up a bit every so often to keep things fresh.

I'm just using this one as a stopgap until &tags& are fixed. I bet I'll have to make a new twist to THIS layout at 5000... or even a temporary switch.
