Suggest a game I can play. As long as I can download it and play it or emulate it, I'll take a look at it.

I prefer mostly platformers, but others work too if they're fun I guess. Any ideas? I'm seriously really bored.

Name some of the games you like (on any given system) and I'll try to run a check and see what I have similar to your preferences. Really, name some games, it'll be easier for me.

Have you played Cave Story? If not, you had better, before I learn your address.

Also, WaDF is brilliant, as are Nifflas' other games, such as Knytt Stories.

If you're into games that kill you over and over, I recommend IWBTG and the Jumper series.

Also, every human being is obligated to play Eversion.

These are all classics though, so I guess maybe you've played them all? Let me know if you have, I'll think of some more.

Kirby: Canvas Curse
WarioWare
Animal Crossing
Mario vs Donkey Kong 2
Super Princess Peach
Yoshi's Island (both the original and DS)

Knytt Stories
Icy Tower
Bob's Game
Portal
N
Yoot Tower
Crash Team Racing
Impressive SMB1 hacks (Played a lot already though)

If you want a platformer, Mystical Ninja starring Goemon (Nintendo 64). It's a LOT like Mario 64, but with multiple characters and a whacky storyline suffering from translation decay. Plus theres several boss battles from inside a giant robot! Giant robots are always cool!!

I've played Cave Story (I didn't really like it much), WaDF and Knytt Stories.

I gave up on IWBTG after the .. first screen. I'm downloading Eversion now, I'll take a look at Jumper later.

Not sure how much I'd enjoy it, I didn't like Mario 64 and I tend to get really disoriented with 3D platformers. SMG is the only one I've managed to "get into".

Already played that, pretty fun though.

Playing Eversion now. It seems good so far, but I can't figure out how to get past this impossible jump in 2-1. I think I'm supposed to be able to walk on clouds, but I can't figure out how. Pressing X does nothing. Wtf? I just tried it again and it did..

I honestly wasn't a fan of Eversion. I didn't think it was that scary, just weird and unpleasant. It wasn't particularly interesting outside of the gimmick, either. Feel free to yell at me for it.

If it was me, I'd choose Castlevania. 1 or 3 or Super Castlevania IV, or Symphony of the Night if you can get ahold of it.

K. Lemme run a check...

Nintendo DS
--------------------
...most of your "platforming" games seem to lack a level system, so the newer Castlevania games probably aren't your style.

If you haven't tried Mario Party DS yet, go ahead and at least take a whack at it, if not more.

...some of the Sonic games, perhaps? The only one I have any real experience with is Rush, don't take that as a full-on suggestion, though; Perhaps you would prefer to start off with one of the Genesis games instead?

The Legendary Starfy. ...don't ask, just try.

Game Boy Advance
--------------------
I don't see Golden Sun on your list, you should try to play that at least once.

Kirby: Amazing Mirror if you can get to that. I actually like the full zone kind of gameplay it offers. Kirby: Nightmare is just a remake of the NES game, play it if you haven't played the NES version.

Other mentions without reason: Wario Land 4 / Shining Soul II / Metroid Fusion

Game Boy (Color)
--------------------
All three Legend Of Zelda games, Shantae, more Pokemon (Alt+898?), Super Mario Land, Wario Land 2 & 3

Super Nintendo
--------------------
All the DKC games, if you haven't played any of them yet. All good.

Contra III may not require the same level of skill that the first two had, but I still had a good time playing it. If you can play it with a friend, take a try.

Nobody else is going to suggest this game: Goof Troop. I played it back when I was, what, 8 years of age? It, unlike other games of this time that are based on cartoons/movies, is actually decent. Make sure to grab a friend, you may find this game a little bit easier with two players.

Another game nobody else might suggest: Sunset Riders. This game actually comes in three flavors as a three-console game, but each one has some kind of large change that seperates it from the others. The Arcade system offers four-player gameplay and changes that the SNES doesn't have. The Genesis is, well...two characters to choose from only, and loses half of the bosses the other two games have. Here with the Super Nintendo it's still two-player gameplay but all four characters remain (Two characters use revolvers, the other two have shotguns. Pick the weapon that works best for you.) and you still get to have all eight bosses. Also change the difficulty and # of starting lives / continues to let yourself get further on or challenge yourself.

Also mentioning Wario's Woods and Ys III without going into detail.

I took how long to make this post? I started whenever you gave me the list of games at the start, now I am four posts behind. And even then I started to forget what I was looking for specifically and just mentioned games that I liked. Uh-boy...well, take a whack at them anyways.

Not sure, I'm not into games with dark themes much, or exploration games (like Castlevania and Metroid). From my games list you can probably pretty much assume that I like .. not sure how to explain this, but brighter/happier stuff. I also get scared easily. Cave Story freaked me out because of the eye that comes out when you try to go through a door near the start of the game.

I'll take a look at Jumper.

I've played MP1/2/3 on an emulator and didn't really find them that fun. I'm guessing they're a lot better multiplayer though.

I have Rush but I didn't really like it much. I've played the Genesis games but I lost interest pretty quickly, they're just not "my thing".

Downloaded it back when it was first released, but none of the emulators I have could play it without game-breaking glitches (Not being able to see objects, etc). I wonder if the latest SVN version of Desmume (I compiled it myself) fixes it.

Not really into RPGs other than Pokemon and Paper Mario. I might take a look at it later though.

I had played one of the SNES games (I forgot which) and it was pretty fun; forgot about that. Canvas Curse was pretty good too. I'll download it later and see how it is.

Played WL4 a long time ago. Shining Soul is a RPG apparently.. so the same thing as Golden Sun pretty much, I'll look at it later. I think I've played Metroid Fusion (Either that one, or the other GBA one) and I didn't really enjoy it.

If the GB Zeldas are anything like LTTP and OoT, I'm not interested. They're cool but I got bored really quickly.
I've heard of Shantae but I haven't played it, I'll probably have to try it out. Not sure what Alt+898 is..
I've played both SML1 and SML2. SML1 was terrible, SML2 was pretty good, and the music in the first level is total .
Unsure about WL2/3, but I'll have to try them as well.

A friend? What is this mystical "friend" you speak of? Looked it up and it's apparently a shooting game; I think I'd get bored pretty quickly.

Thanks for all the suggestions I have a bunch of stuff to try out now.

if you have $10, I'd also recommend Evil Genius, if it's the kind of game you can enjoy.

I thought that too.. but I only noticed it should have gone here -after- I made the thread.

I haven't tried any of those games except for Phoenix Wright (It was cool but I got bored pretty quickly). I don't like FPS'es and RPGs that much so I'm not sure how much I'd like most of the games you mentioned.

Still going through Madman200's list. I'll be here for ages. Golden Sun is cool!

And now I will completely ignore your general dislike for games that are dark and exploration-centered by suggesting Yume Nikki.

If you are willing to try it, be sure to have speakers (or headphones). The background music sets the mood perfectly.

If my conversation with Treeki today carries any weight, then these games are pretty much the opposite of what Treeki is looking for, especially BioShock. (Which is a shame, since it's one of my favorite FPSs, but, whatever)

Edit: Oh, I forgot to make my suggestion. You should definitely look into the Mario and Luigi series if you haven't already. Although there is an RPG aspect, you should enjoy it if you liked Paper Mario, and your interest in the Mario series should indicate that the games will be appealing to you.
