Even if they have the same area, the blue looks bigger - it's probably just an optical illusion.

Besides.. if you analyse it this much (going down to the pixel sizes of the boxes and everything), doesn't that defeat the point of the poll?

I'm guessing it's to gauge your psychological response when you're asked if you want the red or the blue box just from looking at them - Not by analysing them as much as possible.

I would have chosen blue regardless of size because that would be my first choice always. Favorite colors will do that.
