So you post while you aren't logged in. Great.
Then, you figure out your post has a typo; your finger slipped and you typed "I love my fat" instead of "I love my cat". You need to quickly edit the post if you don't want to have a reputation of a fatass.
First, you need to login before editing your post.
After you logged in, the board redirects you to the home page, so you have to return to the thread.
Huge loss of time. In the time you do all this, someone already saw the post with the typo and replied "u r fat lolz".
So, incase you didn't already guess what my suggestions are:
- Allow users to edit their posts while not logged in
- After login, redirect the user to where he came from, instead of the home page
Thank you in advance for accepting these suggestions and allowing people to not lose time anymore. (and not get a reputation of a fatass, too  )
(that should also allow me to not have anymore to stay logged in permanently )

Nope.
But I always keep Firefox opened with, say, 53 tabs. When I let my computer turned on during the whole day, I appear online during the whole day.
It is just that people may think I'm here when I'm not.

Actually, you're only considered "online" if you loaded a page of Jul within the past 5 minutes

Ah. I see.
So I can stay logged in permanently, and even keep Firefox opened displaying Jul, I'm still considered offline if I don't refresh every 5 minutes or more.

The only way to edit posts while logged out would be to have the link on every post, and then check the username/password entered

Index -backspace-> Login -backspace-> Thread -refresh-> Click Edit link
(depending on how stupid your browser is you may need an extra backspace for the meta redirect)
