Actually, that's dependent on the Mystery spaces. Two of them. Either take your chances for a 50/50 chance at either a $10,000 board or Bankrupt(unless the other Mystery has been flipped over), or play it safe and get $1,000 per letter. Also makes a mysterious sound when you land on it without someone having flipped the other one yet. That's how the game is balanced, you risk losing everything from the round so far when you go for the ten-K.
As for another letter, let's try...R?

Yep, Y is always a consonant for the purposes of JWOF puzzles  Even if it functions as a vowel in the actual word.
