It just sits there.

We had some slightly browned salad a few weeks ago. I noticed it looked kind of funny, but not thinking straight I ate it.

I mentioned it to my grandma, who said something about how it doesn't matter and I need to shut up...

...and we all ended up getting the shits.

(Problem is, they didn't learn their lesson either, so the next few times they used the same batch I just left it alone...

)

Quite a few years ago I made the mistake of leaving a glass of orange juice sitting out overnight. When I went to drink it the next morning it had a noxious smell and had actually started to solidify, making what looked like an orange bar of soap floating in the top. I don't even want to think what yours must be like by now.

When I had to (IB program = community service) volunteer for the canned food drive at school, you wouldn't BELIEVE the crap some people sent. Maybe 95% of the people who donated gave good stuff but I saw eroding soup cans, Jello from 1986, stuff that said "BRAND NEW" on it which had already been out for a few years, etc.

Bottom line: No matter how bad your fridge is, there's worse out there.

Normally I tend to resist any unusual side effects from things I eat. Case in point: KFC.
