Sadly, this is from AuntWithPowerTM so I can't just tell her off. The email was about some ghost in a picture that will reward you if you chainletter her everywhere but killed the person who first took her picture.

Sigh.

Because this photo was not photoshoped at all. :specialed:

VIDEO IS BLUE AND BLUE ON THE THING

You'd think after so many years people wouldn't bother with chain letters...

But they still do it.

This is a chain letter! My sister is dying of ornithological cancer and needs your help now! Copy this E-mail and send it to exactly 237 friends within the next 14 seconds or else!

Claire Grumplefridge of Denver, Colorado, did this and all the stock she bought had its value hectupled within minutes! She won 3 lotteries in a week, found a sack of money on the ground on her way to work, and her crush from 10th grade mysteriously showed up at her doorstep!

Phil Schlumpajoozer of St. Louis, Missouri, ignored this E-mail! Suddenly, he caught the pneumatic plague, his left leg turned into a turkey, and a piano fell on his 4-year-old son's head on his way to school! Then, robbers stole everything he owned and hacked into his computer and used his IP address to hack the FBI! On his way to prison, he was struck by lightning 27 times in a row and then was run over by a bike, a car, a Jeep, a bus, and an Army tank! And his wife forgot who he was at his funeral!

I love the chain letters I get through the OldNet that start out:

"This has been VERIFIED by SNOPES!"

Hey, is it okay if I send a link to this thread as a "Solution to Annoying Chain Letters Here!" chain letter to everyone I know?

Because some of my contacts still don't get it: "Try this, it really works, I actually got 1200.00$!". Good thing it has a list of every person they sent it to, which means more people to torture annoy send a meta-chain-letter to.

I've never gotten any chain letters at all, but I still wonder how it's still going on right now.

I get the odd Nigerian one from time to time.

Don't know WHY, but I do. :\ Not a ton of spam in general, thankfully.

I actually get almost no spam

Then again, I switch E-mail accounts every so often sometimes, and my school account has a bunch of filters on it

Same here.

I jokingly considered actually replying to one of those scam e-mails. Maybe fool around with them, send an obviously fake SSN (like, Y0U-5U-CK11) and credit card (T415154F4K3NUM83R)

Dear Friend,

Please accept my apology for not contacting you earlier before now due to my tight schedules. I am very happy to inform you about my success in getting that money under the cooperation of a new partner from Paraguay; Presently I'm in London with the partners for some new projects with the money.

Contact my Priest in Lagos state, federal Republic of Nigeria, because I have left the instruction with him on your behalf and instructed him where to send the $5,000,000.00. without any further delay for your compensation.

Remember that the $5,000,000.00. Is in draft, not cash, so you need to send to him you’re full Information where the draft/check will be posted/delivered. I appreciated your efforts at that time very much so feel free to get in touched with him.
As at the time I was leaving Nigeria he was the only one I could trust with that kind of money, he is a very simple and understanding person. His name is Rev Fr Ugorji Email (revfatherugorji@yahoo.com.hk)NOTE: BELLOW IS THE REQUIRED INFORMATIONS YOU WILL SEND TO MY PRIEST:

(1) YOUR FULL NAMES
(2) YOUR HOUSE ADDRESS
(3) YOUR DIRECT CELPHONE NUMBER
(4) YOUR COUNTRY ADDRESS

So feel free to get in touch with him and discuss with him how the amount will reach you. Please do let me know immediately you contact him to receive it, so that we can share the joy after all the suffering at that time.

As at the moment, I am very busy here because of the projects which I and the new partner have at hand. Finally, remember that I had forwarded instruction to the priest on your behalf to receive that money, so you get in touch with him and he will send the amount to you without any delay.

Here is his email address again (revfatherugorji@yahoo.com.hk)

Regards

MR VICTOR CLEMENT,

I get chainletters from my grandparents from time to time. I can forgive them to an extent though since they're still relatively new to the internet and both are near age 70, but I can never forgive the people who start them. Mostly what they are are things with a bunch of Windows XP default desktop images embedded in them with captions saying "Life is beautiful" or crap like that.
