Well, the thing is, it's hard to get X number of posts when other members aren't posting much either, unless you spam or start a lot of threads

*remembers trying to get RS on an inactive day and ending up with #1 for the day, but no syndrome*

Well, I seem to be doing well enough so far, with only nine posts to do and many interesting threads to post in.

That's my general fear, though: I don't want to be seen as a spammer.

Yeah, I wonder if people think of me as a spammer You probably don't have to worry as you've been around for a while, not like me who basically came in and posted like crazy after a week or so

Even if I've been here a while, no one knows me, so I might as well be new, nothing would change.

Be happy, though; as I post, you can respond and get even more posts, assuring eventual victory.

Yeah, although I'm way ahead of Anya for the day anyway She's been playing COH and watching movies or something

I remember your distinctive avatar with "Del polo" and the pretty blue colour change thingy

As for being ahead... please don't stop, I need to respond to your posts to get ahead too.

1 Terra 51
2 Anya 28
3 Colin 26
4 Lunamon 22
5 Delpolo 18

You passed Gabu

And Yoshi's Island is awesome I remember thinking it was a kids' game at first because of the graphics, but it's quite challenging.

I never even got a chance today.

I always liked playing Yoshi's Island when I was younger. I'd play it all day basically, and even play through it several times, always getting 100% on all stages.

Wait, Terra, where'd you get those numbers? All this time, I've been looking at Active Users, which says that I (now) have three posts until I pass Lunamon, who has two posts less than Gabu.

Actually, I think I'll continue until I post my 300-post thread.

EDIT- As for Yoshi's Island, I only played the GBA remake, never finished it. I've played the DS version, though not 100% yet.

Here It's the JCS link at the top.

The difference is that Active users gives the posts during the past 24 hours (or user-selectable range), whereas JCS gives the posts since midnight Québec time (that used to be the server time zone)

I've played the SNES and GBA versions of YI. I can't remember if I beat each one though.

Oh great, I was mislead and ended up overestimating my goal.

Also, I just realised how useful IRC is in noticing new posts, much better than just refreshing.

Yeah, I don't usually bother with IRC I used to go on sometimes in 2003-ish. I refresh the main page the old-fashioned way, usually.

I usually just got on IRC to check for new posts, but I stopped near the beginning of this year.

I now just refresh like other people.

Well, I'd use IRC more often, but unless it makes a sound to tell me about new posts, I might as well just refresh periodically.

Also, no one says anything there, so there's no reason to stay.

That's been a problem in #x for a long time now. Though that itself was not the reason I stopped going to IRC.

Also, couldn't you just set a highlight on to set off on a new reply and have it make a sound as well?

Having never programmed or even used IRC before, I have no idea how to do this.

Just looking at IRC, there's no option for that, so I assume I need something else for it, and I'm too lazy to get it.

Well it actually depends on what you use to get on IRC...

I never used highlights myself either.

My IRC client flashes the window when a line includes my username I use XChat (very rarely, I think only once).

Doing anything more than going to the IRC link on top is too complicated for me, and useless because I never visit.

Also, yay 300 301 posts, I suppose, though there's already a thread for that.

I just use the link up top to get to IRC.
