Did you bother searching to see if it was covered by any other news sites?

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/LCROSS/main/index.html

A live NASA TV Broadcast is planned for the LCROSS impacts starting at 6:15 a.m. EDT (3:15 a.m. PDT), Oct. 9, on NASA TV and www.nasa.gov/ntv.
Might be interesting to watch. If I'm up until then.

No worries. That's what I thought, too, but that was the first hit on Google.

Just catch the live stream like I am... It shouldn't be too hard since we're east coasters!

On Friday NASA will try to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that water exists on the moon by launching the spent fuel tank of the Orbiter at a crater that is believed to hold water. If water is once and for all confirmed on the moon it is a game changer for space exploration. This is because the water could be broken into Oxygen and Hydrogen for rocket fuel. Also today there is a story on Space.com about water on the protoplanets in the asteroid belt.

Finding water in space would be cool

Now, where are our moon and Mars colonies already? I'm still waiting

I'm excited for it. What's the worse that could happen?

Besides, it couldn't be much worse than some of the asteroids and comets that impact the moon naturally.

I was thinking something more along the lines of this:
