Old cheese tastes a bit... Weird. Quite solid and not floppy. Hm. Well, it seems that you're responsible for 50% of your neighborhood's mold/fungi population.

...Y'know, I kinda like Hot Pockets...

Drag's Post #109
Here, my mom usually throws away expired things, and if she doesn't, I do. She specifically tells me to throw out anything that I see that's expired.

She also throws out powdered food that's expired (like pancake mix). Someone sent her an email which said "throw out all of your powdered food that's expired omgomgomg" and linked to a snopes article which said "only people allergic to mold are affected, unopened boxes are fine, the only case where someone died was someone allergic to mold who made pancakes from a box of mix that was sitting OPENED in the cupboard for two years, etc"

But of course, no self-respecting email chainer's going to actually READ the whole article.

Anyway, we rarely ever have expired stuff in our fridge. Though, I think when I finally have an apartment for college, I think I might get my fair share of expired moldy food horrors.

That's like my other grandma, but here, the fridge literally hasn't been cleaned out in months

They constantly reuse old containers for stuff, like the butter I used earlier today for potatoes is just scooped out of this giant tub of I Can't Believe It's Not Expired Yet and put in this tupperware thing that's never washed or emptied

The relish, too, they'll just dump more into the plastic thing

When in doubt, eat honey...

It never expires...

Then again, eating straight honey isnt a great idea either

"Surely there's mayo for a tuna sandich or something, right?

"...Right?"

Maybe there's some other one, then?

Okay, maybe not

Well, at least we have relish, right? Hm, this one looks rather full, too..

...

Wait, what's this weird tub back here? Maybe it's fresh?

Never mind...

But we have butter, right?

..........

What about meat? Maybe I can make some sort of bland sandwich or something?

...

Okay, nevermind, I have no appetite anymore, I'll just take this can of MtDew I bought recently and have it instead

The worst part is that, as some things expire, everything else goes bad at an accelerated rate.

Fun fact: the jug of milk we got 3 days ago is full of water condensation. Oh, joy.

I think these were pickles at one point or another.

I didn't even look at this last time when my grandparents brought it up. "Hey, there's some orange juice in the fridge; you should drink it before it goes bad." That was one month ago.

This expired a year ago.

This one's full of air/rather puffy, so I'm assuming it was opened, or some nasty crapteria got in there and had a party. Probably the latter.

I'm seriously at a loss for words. I don't even want to look for a date on this; I already feel like puking enough as it is.

Gee whiz.

Well, our fridge is chock full of stuff.

Stuff that hasn't expired... Save for some that are a day or two over.

I seriously don't get how you people have such old food in your fridge. ._.

I mean the oldest stuff we have is like a month old and that's long life stuff like preserves. Anything that's edible and isn't a spread is at most 5 days old.

What the FUCK Xkeeper? Do people actually eat that stuff unknowingly/uncaringly or does it just sit there?
