| I tend to go for red onion universally on whatever pizza I'm making/eating, if only because I want some veggie on it. Otherwise, the meat tends to change. Sometimes pepperoni, sometimes plain hamburger, sometimes garlic sausage. Never ham.
Though on that note, I've sorta been experimenting lately with making pizza sauce. My basic idea is to fry up the meat topping like you normally would and set it aside. However, I'd fry the veggies in the grease left over, add in a can of tomato paste and tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, pepper, and a tomato sauce can or two of water to the mixture as it's cooking, and let it cook down and come together. Put together the pie after the sauce's (remember to add some of the meat back into the sauce. about a 1/3 or a 1/4.) and then just put together the pies. Gonna see how that works. |
