I was going to mention that I didn't mean programming languages, but I forgot It is natural languages though.

A few years ago, I tried to learn Esperanto. The bit I know did help me with a few German words

Yeah, German class didn't teach me that much German I didn't have any language classes before college though.

I am quite fluent in English as it is my birth language.

However I am well versed in Hindi, Urdu, and Spanish as well. Although for these three I understand a lot better than speak.

I also know a little bit of Persian(Farsi/Dari/Tajiki) and bits of Japanese here and there.

I can read the Arabic alphabet which also allows me to read Urdu and Persian as well. I can't read Hindi though.

I am trying to learn Tagalog and Dutch maybe sometime in the future it doesn't look too difficult.

- French (native)
- English (fluent for written, not so much for spoken)
- Spanish (learned at school for 3 years, but it's been so long I forgot a lot of it)

I can read other latin languages a bit (like Portuguese and Italian) from the French and Spanish I know, and katakana in Japanese (enough to figure out English words and names), but that's about it

It's amusing seeing people trying to learn German, as I'm a native speaker of that language (woo) and instantly notice those typical newbie mistakes.

Other than that, I speak the language I'm currently writing in. I'm also learning Russian in school.

Yeah, sign languages are languages. Just not programming languages (That would be in computers / Technology)

I speak English, Spanish (my first) and French fluently. Although, I will make a few grammar mistakes or poor word selection when speaking fast in French, this never happens in English, though. I know some Italian, I can have conversations and stuff but only slowly, I'll lose control if things go too fast. I also know a few words in German but I can't say much...

Thanks to the Italian, Spanish and French I know, I partially understand written Portuguese, Catalan, and (to a lesser extent) Latin.

I will continue to study German on my own and I'll try to improve my Italian. Once I go to college, I'll take a minor in Russian, and then, way past that, I will consider learning Finnish or Romanian on my own.

I've forgotten most of it now.

Well I am fluent in English, though that's a given, and I know how to count to ten in Spanish. I am also currently taking Japanese in high school, which I hope to be somewhat fluent in by the next 3 years.

You forgot your particle, に in ι€†γƒγƒΌγƒ©γƒ³γƒ‰θ¨˜ζ³•γ«γΏγŸγ„, which says you want to look at reverse polish notation or you want to try reverse polish notation?

Oh, well, the ni means you want to try reverse polish notation, the lack of it means it looks like it. Context explains the sentence.

But anyways, if programming languages are included, then I know: java, php, C/C++, and little dabs of perl, bash, python, and DOS batch

1st language: Norwegian.
-- Which means that I understand the other Scandinavian languages, Swedish and Danish. They are fairly similar. The biggest obstacles are the Danish number system and sometimes their pronounciation, but their words are mostly very similar. The Swedes do have some words that are more different, but their pronounciation is easier to understand, and their number system isn't retarded.

2nd language: English.

And I may utter some simple things in German, and understand them to some extent if they talk slowly.

I know basic Spanish, and can speak it pretty well. I also know various words from other languages, but that's about it.

Of course, my first language is English.
