My LTTP save fucked up somehow

I've been continuing my FF6 and CT games though

FF6: I have most of the characters and am hunting down espers and training my characters. Terra is the highest at level 49, Gau is the lowest at level 36.
CT: I recently got the Epoch and plan to go around getting some of the goodies from those sealed boxes and such

/☢/CAUTION/☢/

Dialga used ANCIENTPOWER!

Your partner an splode! (but revived with the lucky reviver seed you found)

Your attack obviously failed.

Dialga used LOLTIMEHAX!

Critical hit! 9584353897893rw5r7ufdgsdfgsdgsd damage!

I know I am too low in level (both at 36), but seriously...

But the music is awesome, and the fight itself is pretty cool... Just a little frustrating.

I have a save in that game at the midpoint of Temporal Tower with no Reviver Seeds and too low-level to survive more than 2 or 3 turns. :x

Yeah...I'm kinda screwed. Kinda why I gave up on that game...

I am exactly like that.

Grinding to level 37 so he learns flamethrower and we can actually attack him isn't an option becouse I can barely survive the salamence to begin with. I only have one elixir too.

Assasin's Creed 2 intrigues me, but I never finished the first one, so I'm playing that again. I love how there's a bunch of hidden flags and eagle viewpoint places to find. It reminds me of old-school collect-athon games. *Looks up and think of fond Banjo-Kazooie memories*

Dag, yo. I'd suggest looking into a new save battery for that game.

It was actually a ROM

I think it's a ZSNES oddity when loading savestates when the battery save file wasn't updated or something.

My Zelda 1 battery died in 2003-ish

Actually playing through ALttP this time, and I'm planning on 100% it for the first time.

Also been playing Mother 3 and Rhythm Tengoku. The former is an awesome little rpg but I think plenty of you have already heard of it. The latter is an odd rhythm game, but I'm finding it fun so far.

I've been working on Zelda 2.

It's a good game, but fuck if it's not ball-stompingly hard. I keep trying to tell myself not to save state, but I keep relying on them anyway simply because I don't want to lose like two thousand points of experience. God damn.

Thing about Z2 is that farming for exp is a bitch, but I'd farm stuff in the forest area north of the six temple. It's the most relatively safe late game area to farm shit in, and while it'll be slow going, you're not going to get mercilessly raped out of exp like you would in the great temple. (Hello birdknight. oh hey the sword doesn't go theioafweewr. GAME OVER RETURN OF GANON etc.) But yeah. Farm monster north of the sixth temple, and hope for a lot of bag drops.

Zelda II is hard.

I got it in 1993, was it? And I first beat it with no game overs only about 2 weeks ago. And that was the easier Japanese version.

One place you can farm is in the grass outside of Nabooru Cast Fire and you'll usually get 100 or 150 points per encounter, and you're close to town in case you need to refill your life and/or magic.

Or go to one of the palaces and go in and out, stabbing the statue and killing the ironknuckle. That's 100 points per ironknuckle usually, and you can go in a bit more and kill more enemies. Palace 4 should be good for that, if it's still open Lots of easy enemies in palace 4 that yield a ton of EXP.

The... easier... Japanese version?

...They made it harder for US release!?

Isn't that backwards?

Yeah, I know, it defies logic, but I find the Japanese version easier

- You can level up in any order, so I tend to pick Attack early for an easier time with bosses and blue ironknuckles and such.
- You don't need as much EXP. To get a 1-UP, you only need 4000 EXP, not 9000.
- Some enemies were changed. In particular, Gooma is a 2nd Helmethead, IIRC.

Downside: A lot of the text is in Japanese, so I only recommend it if you're familiar with Zelda II and/or know Japanese. (I'm of the former category)

You know, it took me two tries, but I think I was at level 39. Cyndaquil/Piplup, you?

(and if you think Ancientpower was bad, wait until you first deal with two Silver Wind-spamming Venomoths. It's Ancient Power, but it hits your entire team!)

Wait until you get to the, er, "Grand Master of All Things Bad". Heh. Funny scene before fighting him, and before refighting him if when you lose...

If you saved at the middle of the tower then you can still go down to the beginning of the tower (and store shit and stuff...)

I didn't lose to the Grand Master of All Things Bad. Didn't seem that hard.

Currently playing Platinum version. Just caught Uxie (named it Patchy) and am preparing to catch a Snover for my team.

I beat him around 34 actually.

Spammed some seeds to dizzy him, powered me up (ATTACK PLUS), stocked plenty of reviver seeds.

Then I beat the shit out of him with dig. Go Cyndaquil.

Sold the PSP1000 and DS phat I'd rarely used. Not an easy decision, but they weren't doing me much good.

Made some progress in Batman. I'm at the dock after fighting Bane.

Also a few hopefully decent thrift store finds.
PS1: Tenchu 2, Silent Hill, Bushido Blade
PC: System Shock 2, Crimson Skies, Baldur's Gate 2, Neopets Puzzle Adventure
PS2: KOF Maximum Impact
Xbox: THPS2x
Etc: Fallout soundtrack, Diablo 2 soundtrack, MGS VR Missions guide

Don't forget I've picked up Demon's Souls. *Goes off to play it*
