I've never been to one...and you know, I don't think we even have them in this state.

With many stores closing, be on the look out for massive sales on games and hardware.

I've never even heard of a store called Game Crazy before (the first thing that I thought of when I read the thread title was the member here that goes by that name ).

This isn't the first that I've heard about video game stores closing down either, a fairly good retro/new video game store that wasn't too far from my house recently closed now. Some of their retro games were extremely over priced although every once and a while you could find a good deal there .

I haven't heard of GameCrazy either

Are there any used game stores that sell classic games anymore, or did ebaY and the like put them out of business? I remember when FuncoLand sold NES and SNES games, and now they're GameStop and won't even sell PS1 games

You have to look around for a retro store if you want to go PsX (and earlier) shopping. Play -n- Trade trades and sells retro, but I haven't been in one of their stores yet. I go to GcX to go retro shopping, even though it's in another county and a bit of a drive.

Yeah, I usually just download ROMs for cartridge-based systems I've had a lot of NESes fail anyway, and I like savestates and ROM hacking

PS1 games are different though, as the .iso files seem to be ridiculously hard to find

Fortunately, the amazing Pink Godzilla Pink Gorilla is only ~4 hours away from me, should the last two retro game stores in town ever close.

...You just don't know where to look. Plenty of torrent collections out there with full or nearly-full PSX sets.

I never seem to have any luck with torrents Like they stay at 0% complete. I think someone has to be uploading it at the same instant or something

That's why you need to use private trackers where there's always a few people seeding.

...either that or your port settings are messed up and you can't get any connections. :\

I've heard of Gamecrazy before but I don't think they're actually near me. Maybe they aren't an east coast thing?

Nah, there was one here on the West Coast, but it vanished along with Hollywood video.

Now there's just nowhere to get local games, and since I'm not fond of stealing, my level of video game playing has dropped off the face of the Earth.

Supakitsune's post
I think that Hollywood Video is trying to merge the Game Crazy brand into its Hollywood Video stores (they've been doing it in steps, first offering rentals, now they sell games and take trade-ins), so they don't need the dedicated Game Crazy stores.

That said, I've never seen a Game Crazy.

There's a Game Crazy not far from here, that's where I usually go for my games when I actually purchase them...

There's a retro game store somewhere around here but I totally forgot where it was.

There's also places to get them if you're okay with 12 separate downloads.

And I've never heard of Game Crazy. Comes with living in Canada.

So they do have them in metro Detroit Just none within reasonable biking distance, apparently.
